How Do I Stop Heimerdinger?

I haven't won a single game with Heimerdinger in it, ever. I literally don't know what to do. I've played a ton of games against him and now i just hide under my turret until he inevitably destroys it in 4 seconds and if i TRY to stop him his turrets hit me for unreal damage and i get grenaded and i'm punished for just trying to get my lane back. Even when i'm farming vs one i literally cannot farm because the turrets just sit there chipping me away and they take 3 hits to kill at the start, it's really really annoying. How the hell do i stop this champion? I've TRIED going behind him but his turrets seem to be able to instantly turn 180 degrees and blast me with that stupid blue blast halfing my HP in 2 hits.. Please help, the problem champions i can never beat are this stupid turret guy and Leblanc..

What champions do you play? I need to ask because counterplay to Heimerdinger is champion specific.

I own Ahri now, so it's all good, but the advice is still appreciated. I believe i was playing Kayle in the game that made me have to come and ask for help, I was originally fighting a Zed and Heimer was top. Stalemating pretty hard against the Zed, because he was playing super safe. Then he swapped lanes with Heimer and it all went downhill from there. I couldnt defend myself. I was getting blasted in my E range anyway and he was clever enough to freeze the wave so i had to leave the safety of my turret to farm at all. Soon as i died or based (which was easy because once he got close enough his turrets would just constantly pop me under turret and he was spamming rockets) he just ran into the towers with his whole wave and it was gone in literally a minute. I honestly couldn't do anything, i couldn't leave lane because towers were being taken so fast, i couldnt get gold or farm, i couldn't even base. Each death meant i lost another tower. I really wish i was just raging, but that is honestly what happened. My team wouldnt swap lane with me to make our game easier or even winnable, so mid was lost 17 minutes in. (We also had a top lane Vayne that thought she could take him on and tried swapping with me, but nope she ran back to her lane after 3 minutes and a death)

Just farm and try not to take much damage, give up creeps if you have to. Most champs outscale the donger and I would recommend telling your jungler to stay away from your lane because hiemers love ganks.

I totally agree with you on telling your jungler to stay away. When I play the Donger, I usually get fed by the jungler, not my lane opponent.

Last game i tried to farm as usual because it was the only way i could get ahead but i was getting harassed more than an muslim woman without her burka on. Needless to say i had 9 farm 10 minutes in because if i tried i got blasted. I really feel like i must be doing something wrong.

A heimer is always going to push you into your tower, so you basically just farm under tower and dodge his skillshots. 2 hits on meele creeps and 1 hit on caster creeps from tower then an AA make it pretty easy to farm under tower, use abilities when you need to if a creep has to much or to little health.

preach it. riot needs to nerf heim's turret AS or the amount of turrets he can put down. he is fucking ridiculous right now.

Never let the Donger stack his turrets. You go straight into lane and take those fuckers out. Also better to choose range champs VS the Donger so that you can safely take out his turrets and tank a couple autos. I usually take Jayce Karma Velkoz into Donger.

Yeah, you beat heim in champ select. Good counters include Azir (outranges), Syndra (outranges and grabs turrets), Brand (Free R bounces!), Ziggs (range) and any other long-range siege mage basically.

I'm never considering it because usually my bronze games involve heimer and another mid laner being picked, so i counter pick the mid lane and then heimerdinger ends up being mid instead of the one i initally counter picked. (Mid lanes going as support mindgames) His lane versatility is what really irritates me, I lose to him because he's smart enough to lane swap to go against melee champs (usually me) and my team wont swap for me.

counterpick him if you can, ziggs, cho'gath, syndra, master yi, etc..

if you can't counter pick him, just farm as best you can and realize you will outscale him later

don't play melee in to donger. literally anything that is ranged will let you either counter him or break even with him.

If you're melee, you sit under 2nd tier turret (because he takes the first in 5 min) and hope your jungler is not blind LeeSin

Kill his turrets. There are hard counters to the donger like Nunu (Q his turrets). Or champions that can one shot his turrets with poke like Zed (granted you need enough AD to do this, so there is a ramp up time). I enjoy taking MonkeyKing against him. Eventually you can auto attack + Q his turrets to instantly clear them. He's pretty worthless without his turrets so find a way to get rid of them, then jump on him.

either counterpick him or just play until the late game. Heimer is only really useful in the laning phase, after that he just gets worse and worse

Now this may sound horrible for your jungler but you can do 1 of 3 things

Take Krugs/Gromp close to your lane do to the extra experience and gold that scales very well if behind
Try to roam as much as possible
Start crystaline flask

I don't now very much besides maybe counterpicking him naturaly but Syndra top is pretty horrible

Taking a ranged champ is probably the best thing you can do

donger counters people who doesnt how to slow the game down.. many dont know how do that in soloq they play like its a deathmatch.. so donger has a gud winrate cause of that.. i play mundo, ziggs and other farmers.. so i never see the donger as a problem but he will get 1,5 towers on me fast tho .. i just accept it.. and then i sh it on him later..

Ziggs, Ori, Morg. Idiot proof ways to keep him at zero turrets, which then makes him pretty useless in lane.

Just accept that you'll lose a few towers, then wreck him late game. Heimer's teamfight is weak if you can bait out his ult turret then immediately disengage, because his regular turrets die easily to mage AoE/ADC autos and his damage is fairly weak after that.

If you are playing anyone with poke, kill the turrets. If he can't keep turrets up he has a lot of trouble farming.

Good counters include, but are not limited to: Xerath (mid), Sion (top), and Jayce (either).

(Sion can reposition the turrets with his E.)

Also, be aware that Heimer may use ult-W or ult-E instead of ult-Q if it is more important to get the instant burst or the CC. Personally, I like using my ult-w on an out-of position ADC.
