Dealing with Auto lockers and being unable to do anything about it in Que

I recently played a game where a summoner Not calling him out Auto locked in our Champion select. I have a proposed solution to deal with people who are not communicating and chose to auto lock.

  1. Make a little tab that would attach to everyone's name/champion block on the selection screen.
  2. Make that tab have options such as (Auto locked, Verbal abuse, Refusing to communicate)
  3. When the entire team have selected one or even a fair amount the Que will quit and restart.

I love League of Legends. I want this community to be strong and have Good willing people to cooperate to make the game better. If anyone agrees with me leave notes on this so we can discuss a better way to propose this to Riot. -ShatTheShoot

I'd love to see some way of fixing this, but I expect that no solution will be offered. Sadly, our culture almost winks at such behavior and Riot is in the position of enforcing a policy that would alienate a large number of players, or allowing the community to do what it can. Right now at best you can complain afterwards by using the "refused to communicate" report or perhaps "unskilled player" which hopefully would keep you from ending up on a team with that player again, but that would be the most Riot offers.

Reporting in champion select should totally be a thing.

I'm not convinced that "auto locking" is something that should be penalized. How is that any different than just sitting on the champion you want to play for 10 seconds, and then locking in?
