Aurelian sol in the current meta

Aurelian sol is a champion that currently needs a buff, he's a good champion and very interesting but in the current meta does not fit in, mostly because of the assassin mid lane meta due to Lethality being a thing, I feel like his aoe stun (Q) should be able to double tap so he could have some kind of defense against assassins, and I know his ulti pushes back but you're gonna be so behind the enemy laner so they're six before you causing champions like, Talon, Yasuo, Akali and Zed to use theirs and get right back into you causing you to die. I hope riot takes this into consideration for a future patch note that I am not saying assassins are OP because they aren't but I just want Aurelian sol to have counter play towards them so he could try and be relevant again.
