Aurelian sol in the current meta

Aurelian sol is a champion that currently needs a buff, he's a good champion and very interesting but in the current meta does not fit in, mostly because of the assassin mid lane meta due to Lethality being a thing, I feel like his aoe stun (Q) should be able to double tap so he could have some kind of defense against assassins, and I know his ulti pushes back but you're gonna be so behind the enemy laner so they're six before you causing champions like, Talon, Yasuo, Akali and Zed to use theirs and get right back into you causing you to die. I hope riot takes this into consideration for a future patch note that I am not saying assassins are OP because they aren't but I just want Aurelian sol to have counter play towards them so he could try and be relevant again.

AurelionSol got nerfed numerous amounts of times due to him being extremely powerful.

Also Aurelion sol's weakness is that if you get inside of his star range that he's useless.

If you allow him to double tap his Q why,

his only major weakness has been dealt with. Mana is not much of a problem for avid Sol players because they know how to reduce his mana consumption while still being effective in lane.

Sol's ultimate covers his weakness of people invading his stars already. There is a good reason why his ultimate pushes people back to the perfect distance to Q... and then W burn them to chunk them.

Sol is in a fine spot right now

he isnt which is why they are reworking him. Like really of all the champs in this game he has the single biggest weakness ever.

The damage of sol's stars gets pretty insane when you think about it.

The damage of my stars usually gets around the 500 mark by the end of the game and that's just the passive damage.

When I turn on the W it's about 650 magic damage per second.

most mages do 650 magic damage in one or two spells that go on a 10-ish second cooldown

Sol's weakness is ironically also his strength which is unfortunate as not many people play him enough to take care of spacing enough so they can make the most use out of the stars

He is not and that's not his only weakness, anivia can double tap but still is countered by assassins, just doesn't get completely stomped like Aurelian sol does

Well if you can't really say HOW he's in a bad spot right now then that renders your argument less valid.

Anivia if anything is great against assassins thanks to her passive and having CC that comes out fast in addition to an ultimate that can decide a teamfight.

Anivia's passive dictates that she'll be safe under tower from most assassination attempts. Keep in mind that running summoner 4 summoner 14 as a mage against an assassin will be very likely in you losing the lane.

Taking summoner 4 summoner 3 however will garuntee that you can back safely as anivia thanks to your reliable CC in addition to your passive whilst also combined with the power of making the enemy midlaner deal less damage

Unless the anivia in question is super inexperienced in mana-budgeting then they should consistently outlast the enemy midlaner either in health or in mana.

Aurelion Sol isn't good against assassins because most of the assassins bully Aurelion sol until he can grab item 3027 and item 3116

and because item 3027 and item 3116 are more expensive powerspikes

the enemy Zed will grab a item 3142 and proceed to bully my poor AurelionSol who has built item 3027 but it only has one or two stacks

By the time AurelionSol has finished grabbing item 3116

Zed has built item 3155 and item 3133 which ensures him to at minimum go even in lane

Aurelion sol has the most obvious weakness of any champion in the game. Even the newest player to league will know roughly when they take damage from his stars to either A: Get as far away as possible from the stars or B: Get so close that he can't hurt you with the stars.

they talked about doing a mini rework on account that he is weak since they nerfed him
