fps drops

Why is it that every time riot releases a patch i start to get fps drops that make the game unplayable. Patches are supposed to fix the game now give it more problems. This is the 4th time its happened, with the last 4 patches they've released. I was having no problems with the game running smoothly for the last week then when the patch is released its all gone to shit.
