Fizz Bug causing OP

So ive noticed a couple issues with fizz that could be contributing to his OP factor.

when he uses his dodge (E) he becomes "untargetable" okay, sweet, but then can some one explain to me why NON TARGET(AOE/skillshot) abilities still don't effect him? Case and point, yesterday i was supporting as Leona, a Fizz comes near me not knowing the ADC is just behind me in a bush. we attack, he then uses his E in an attempt to retreat. seeing its a fizz, i cast Solar Flare directly behind the fizz, on que, he uses his E to escape, passing right through the centre of my Solar Flare AOE during its explosion. because this is an AOE ability fizz should have taken damage as well as been stunned in the centre stopping his E escape, but he slipped away unharmed. Ive also had a similar experience while playing Taric, where i cast a stun, and while the glittery beam is half way to fizz he uses his E away from me. i see the Glittery stun continue to follow him eventually hitting him yet he was not stunned. if an ability is a target ability such as tarics stun (delay for ability to reach the target), and he gets it off before fizz uses his E the effect of the stun should still apply, as it was cast while the target, was target able and is already in a homing route to the target.

can some one at riot explain how this makes any sense???? fix this and a big part of fizzes OP factor will be gone.

Untargetable means while he is up there NOTHING CAN BE DONE TO HIM. The only things that apply to him are previously applied DOTs.

Detailed explanation: Skill shots count as projectiles. Fizz can dodge all projectiles. AOE abilities are projectiles. In your case the ray of light Leona casts down is a projectile appearing to come from the sky. Projectiles have travel time. If fizz becomes untargetable at any point during a targeted skill's travel time he negates its effects completely because the ability in theory loses its target. Simplified: Lord of the rings: Strider calls upon the undead army. No one can harm the undead army because they are ghosts. Only strider can actually make physical contact with them.

There is no point arguing for this; everyone knows that Fizz's troll pole is broken.

Riot nerfed Vlad's Sanguine pool a while back due to the same issue, it allowed him to negate tower shots and abilities that has already been cast. (It doesn't anymore.)

Fizz's Playful/Trickster was supposed to follow in turn; however, it seems Riot was never serious with this champion anyways. If you are to look at Fizz's other abilities, they are just as powerful.
