How do I play this situation..?

I'm playing kalista and a full crit 16/5 master yi flashes onto my team (near me). Their Janna flash ults and I hit a wall and I'm briefly "stunned/disrupted" because I proceed to (before flashing) get two autos in kiting backwards before I get 2-3 shot by yi. I think I ended up being too far forwards, and I still tried to salvage the situation but otherwise I'm not sure how I could've played it better. I had bloodyhurster, botrk, streaks, as boots, runaans, and was building a black cleaver. Maybe ninja tabi instead of as boots? When the fight broke out I was pretty much in our teams backline. Let me know your thoughts.
