The new RoA, Zhonya's, and Abyssal Scepter work wonders for his AP build.

Sion sucks.

After his rework he got massively nerfed... and they refuse to buff him. I think they thought his new skin would bring in lots of Sion players, but I saw an upsurge of Sion play for like a week, watching Sion get destroyed every single time.... then he fell back into obscurity as he should be.

Sion is garbage.

I disagree.

Sion doesnt have the damage that he once had, yes... but his kit is a lot healthier than it was before. Not perfect, but MUCH better. They nerfed him because his early damage on his E was too much in top lane.

If by "healthier" you mean inferior in every way/complete garbo, then yes, you are correct.

Nope, I mean he's better in every way in terms of reliability and his kit synergy.

Uh what? are you trolling?

Every single part of his kit, bar none, got LESS reliable, not more.

But Im not. You see, although his abilities have conditions (ie Q charges slowly, W can detonate after 3 secs, etc), he's more useful in a team fight due to the obvious amount of threat his abilities give off. You stop him from using his Q? Well you just wasted CC on a tank. You ignore him? He can knock your entire team up.

To answer your question, he isn't all that bad to play. Yes, he doesnt deal the most damage and is rather farm reliant, but has powerful CC and can be a huge brick wall for the enemy team.

I'm actually thinking that a small buff to his passive could work wonders/bring him out of obscurity. Something like what they did with veigar (instead of +HP per kill, have it be +hp per damage from auto/ability on an enemy character) would at the very least bring his laning variants back into the meta.

Idk about his winrate and everything but I haven't had issues playing Sion top lane lately and imo he still hurts a ton as well. Taking him in any other lane though poses different issues. I'm also low elo too though so sometimes I'm put against people who seem like they don't know what side stepping is.
