Aatrox mid more viable than ever?

I've been playing Aatrox for two seasons now and I've always wondered why people think he is so bad while I find him quite strong? I think it's because they play him top where he has to go against many bruisers, but if you try him midlane he is actually really strong. Don't you guys agree? I put my midlane aatrox game vod from my stream as a reference for a discussion.

p.s. yes i know he is also viable jungle as I play him there as well but I still think mid is his best role if either top or jungle takes an ap champ.

I've seen him do decent as high as D5-4ish, never played it though.

I've been playing him for quite some time and I'm still thinking whether he is good mid because people don't know what to expect or because he is actually strong in the midlane

Yea I know I play him jungle all the time and did the Q thing before it became meta, but I still think, that in the midlane he is stronger as he can shut down most of midlane champions, can farm while ignoring their harass and just kill them when they are out of mana. When you are at level 6 you can one shot people if you have your W stacked but in the jungle he can get pressured by junglers like lee who outduel him early but in the mid there's noone to take him down as far as I've experienced.
