Vel'Koz Disintegration Ray

According to Vel's lore, he absorbs information of different organisms by absorbing it as he death rays them. As such I think it would be worth trying to implement that into the game by giving his Disintegration Ray an added effect. If Vel'Koz kills a champion who leaves things across the map (e.g. Teemo's mushrooms and the upcoming Bard's shrines), he gains vision of all of the things they've left across the map as of the time of death. This vision remains until Vel'Koz next dies or until all of the traps have been triggered/expired.

Teemo is so versatile that he is arguably OP right now. His shrooms do a lot of damage to squishy characters like Vel. And people who are good with Teemo hide in grass next to a shroom waiting to ambush the next unfortunate soul to wander through.

Most champs who typically build glass cannon do 'a lot of damage to squishy characters' with their ults.

And people who are good with Teemo hide in grass next to a shroom waiting to ambush the next unfortunate soul to wander through.

And meanwhile, the Teemo's team is fighting 4v5 teamfights and/or losing objectives.

Teemos I've seen employing this strategy aren't on losing teams. Plus almost all Teemos cover the jungles with mushrooms, even if they don't wait at one of them. Not to mention the fact that Teemo is one of the only champions with a map-wide ult that acts independently of the champion (and the mushrooms are not weak, they do a lot of damage and slow a lot). A lot of people don't like Teemo these days. But all that's neither here nor there since Teemo isn't the only one who would be affected by disintegration vision.

He wouldn't be the only one affected by the proposal, but he would be the only one that's actually currently live, and thus the only one we can examine the current balance state of.

As to what that state is: not nearly powerful enough as to need (yet another) hard counter to his easily counterable ult (have you tried simple map awareness? it's awesome against Teemo).

I think it would be awesome....but at the same time op. Since I main vel, I ccan tell you that he excels when people are running at him. Imagine your teammate is baiting the entire team and then your team somehow traps them and you ult. You now can see everything they've put down......

Awesome, yes. OP? Yes. For that reason I don't think it'd be a good idea....

Just to be clear, I don't mean vision across the entire map all at once. I mean that when he comes near any of the traps, he can see them (similar to the functionality of a trinket).
