Shen nerfs? You're kidding right?

Shen is by far my favorite top laner.

Let's talk about what he's good at and what he's not:

Good: Staying in lane without dying too easily Decent Combat Utility Sweet Ult potential

Bad: Damage is among the lowest in the game for top lane champions (even when Q passes through an enemy it's still not a lot of damage, a good top laner will generally be able to avoid the taunt / spirit blade) Energy Regen Rate is terrible without empowered AA's. Base Regen rates are even lower than they used to be. Sucks at split pushing without items, and even with them he will usually be outclassed in the split pushing department with current meta Toplane picks (Fiora, riven, gnar, tankyasuo, tankekko, etc.)

TL;DR Fun Fact: Zed has more HP, Armor & MR (oh and damage) than Shen does, and he's a fucking assassin to boot (and he has more than one damage ability yet Shen gets the nerfbat?) which means you pretty much have to build him tank in almost every game if you want to have any meaningful impact in a team fight.

Don't fucking nerf my favorite champion it literally makes him worse for no good reasons at all!

health % dmg has barely any mitigation, Zed on the other hand is mitigated by armor... kind of.

I love Shen too and agree with your sentiment OP, but what you said here isn't really a valid point. Champions actually tend to have high bases in the stats that they DON'T build a lot of, and lower bases in the stats that they DO build in order to encourage them building more of that stat. It's why Mao and Cho have the highest base AD in the game despite both being AP tanks.

Also Shen's base HP/Armor/MR are generally low due to all of the defensive steroids he has. If he had the defensive bases of a normal tank coupled with his passive shield (the nerfs for which, as I've noticed, have been reverted) and AoE dodge he would be outright broken.
