Replaced in ranked... Seriously??!

Look im not a top tier player or anything but the fact that one game literally just dropped me over an entire division is ridiculous.. i went 8/10 in my promos playing with and against High Gold/Plat/Diamonds. Carried a lot of my games in fact.. Then got placed into S2. Pleasantly surprised considering i didnt play much at all last season and only cared enough to get to Silver. But after playing 11 more games after being placed originally and winning enough to be one game from Promos going essentially 60/40 in wins vs loses i log on today to discover they are replacing people.. I get a team comprised of me a silver 2 a toxic riven at Silver 3 a jungle gragas who was building improper items and unranked Ashe who claimed to be bronze on another account. and a Bronze 2 Thresh.. While the Enemy team was 3 silvers and 2 golds. After an atrocious loss and my bot lane literally calling everyone on my team retarded and swearing we had all purchased our accounts i was replaced into Bronze 3. An easy enough to climb out of division (i was gold for multiple seasons and never cared to push it further.) but still extremely frustrating considering I had already played multiple more games and was on the verge of promos to a rank that was literally an entire division over what i was placed in. I mean Come on riot i understand your MMR system may be a little fucked up at the moment but if you are going to reset divisions after 1 game you may as well just make people play their entire promos again. Or better idea. Just let people stay where they are.. If they get placed incorrectly they will eventually fall to the wayside and be where they are supposed to be.

Just quite frustrated i wasted time playing and attempting to climb a bit just to log on and get dropped over a division.

well this season is different then last... meta changes, changes to items, champs, map etc

maybe whatever you were good with last season isnt as strong now... and you have to find another way to improve and climb

Because of the MMR mismatch in Flex Queue, you got reset to the original starting point (pre placements). But remember this is only Preseason, the rank you accomplish now WILL BE RESET AGAIN! The rank you get in preseason does only influnece the placement in Season 7 to a SMALL extend! (only your starting point in season 7 is affected by Preseason ranks) Sidenote: 1-2 Tier drops are completely normal in preseason.

I.E.: You were Plat 5 at the end of the season, were placed high Silver after placements, now got placed low Silver. If you now climb to Plat again, you will then only be placed in low Gold at the start of Season 7!

So dont worry to much about the current placement! Yeah i know it sucks, alot!, but atleast the matches should be better balanced now :/

i had the same issue i was 1 game away form being s1 in my promos then the update came out and i got an ap tristana support that went 2/15. regardless of how the game went i dont think that dropping someone 2 divisions for 1 loss makes any sense they should have waited to put the placements out or just made us redo the whole thing. im not worried about climbing back out because i wont have an issue with that but the amount of games that will be needed to get back to where i was is a little much. I am not saying they should do anything about it now whats done is done but its really irritating and i am sure this makes anyone who lost that 1 game, no matter how they lost it, unhappy.

i understand their reasoning behind this i just think that it was rushed and they could have done a better job with it
