Yesterday's Bug or Server Issue or whatever they are calling it
I had just finished playing a game and winning, no knowledge of anything going on with the servers, so I play another one. Here is the ticket I wrote:
Ok, I just won my previous game, so I think I was at 22 LP at that time. I am pretty sure that was correct. My last game, which I could not log in to at all, I tried over 15 times to do so. I could not believe it was not a remake, so I went to OP.GG and spectated it. WOW, I could spectate my own game, but your #&%* server issue would not allow me to log in and play that game. Please explain to me how the *!^% that occurs. And yes I restarted my computer 2 times and reset my internet connection as well. And when the game ends, I LOSE 18 LP? How the hell is that fair? I want my LP returned and it would be nice if you would give me something in return as well, for screwing me out of a game and then trying to take away LP from me for something that is your fault. This kind of stuff is not acceptable. YOU SHOULD NEVER PUNISH SOMEONE FOR SOMETHING THAT HAS OCCURRED DUE TO YOUR OWN ISSUES.
My response from RIOT Games Player Support:
Hello,
We did have some server issues and everything should be running smoothly now.
The system doesn't allow us to change the results of games, modify LP, or change your standing in the LeaverBuster system. The system was designed this way to prevent corruption. We do turn on Loss Prevented during server wide issues, but it looks like you may have been a part of the first wave who didn’t get this. Sadly, I can’t retroactively apply this to an account, our tools just don’t allow it.
Always,
