Yasuo Vs Shen toplane

So I am playing versus in the toplane... I have nothing i end up feeding every game. the main thing about this matchup is that has a great waveclear, knockup that breaks your ult (and w shield if active at the time), and can harass you while you are csing under the tower. Jungler comes in for a gank and enemy double kill; how should i lane against this guy? (just to let you know, i get counterpicked for those saying pick another champion. No i won't dodge because that will tick off my team membs)

as a nearly 800k mastery yasuo main, i can assure you that shen totally fucks yasuo. i've also played this matchup as shen.

you have 2 choices as shen- corrupting potion or armor? personally i would go armor as shen, as you're mainly just going to be farming before your first back.

before your first back: if yasuo tries jumping on you, activate your q, start attacking him, and if he still tries attacking you, taunt him, and continue to attack him until W wears off and he will lose the trade. then go back to farming. keep farming until either: you're very low and out of potions, yasuo backs, or if you have enough money for a bami's cinder or chain vest.

you want to try to get a bami's cinder ASAP. if you don't, go for a chain vest, and if you can afford it, a ruby crystal as well. as you can probably guess, you're going to rush a sunfire cape first. once you finish that you should be able to start winning trades with ease.

if he's still a problem, continue to stack armor. ninja tabi, sunfire cape, and randuin's will make him completely unable to duel you.

This is what I found out just screwing around in custom. This is Shen.

I tanked his masteries and runes, except for Quints. I gave him AP quints. I started him out with AP quints and pitted him against an intermediate Darius, since Yas was not available. I started with Doran's Ring and health pots. I Q'd through him and got in my 3 hits. It chunked him a LOT.

I found a video on Youtube of pre-worked Shen full AP, and he wrecked any enemy he came across. I am trying to make an AP Shen build. The scaling off of AP is horrendous but in a good way.

I've played 2-3 times as Shen vs Yasuo. It's hard to survive the first few levels (cloth + 4 is probably the best start), but you outscale Yasuo super hard after your first back. He can probably kill you, if he is 6 slotted and he ults you late-late game, if your team doesn't focus and explode him, but until then, he is just a free kill.

It is something I am toying around with. I am not going to play it in a draft or normal until I think I have it down. My husband and I duel against one another to test out different skills and get mechanics down. We also toy with different builds. I would prob give him three Warmogs and Dead Man's for sustain and maybe even Randuins. I am still toying around with the AP items.

You have to E-Q(Through body) and W when the sword arrives. after that you get the 3 hits in because hes taunted and what you want to do is TRY to Q again through his body so you can slow him and walk away. If its a good trade you keep repeating

Take Corruptioning potion. Armor doesnt work against yasuo unfortunately.

I play shen a shit ton and honestly this is why i say yasuo is an unfair champ. Hes just too strong. And if there is a jungler helping him then honestly just wait till 6 farm under tower and go help your other lanes with Ult.

Shen is supposed to get buffed in the near future according to Meddler. He scales with AP which makes absolutely no sense and anyone with armor pen just beatsthe hell out of Shen

You cant just W normally because yasuo will dash through a minion to get out andgo back in when yours is out. he has no cooldowns. You have major cooldowns. E+W are 16 second cooldowns at lvl 1. Or 18 sec? Forgot.

Shen shouldn't be getting cheesed by Yasuo. Simply start either item 1054 item 2003 or item 1029 just rush item 3143 and you should be fine.

why is shen struggling against yasuo?

I mean its one thing if you get ulted but then you can use your W to ignore his ridiculous buff.

But how did you build?

Against a Yas, you have to think reactive, just like v a Darius or another lane bully until you can tank up some. At level 2, I would put a point in W and keep my sword to close to mitigate damage. At level 3, I would put a point in E and use it as peel to get away and back to tower. If you are worried about gold, get a gold item first back to keep you in the game.

When he uses his skills, E+Q-W, and whack him three times. Get out and back under tower. Repeat. This is just what I would do. I would also build Thornmail or Sunfire first and then go warmogs.

I could be wrong, but this is just mho.
