Please help with new Ancient Coin! (Support mains)

So i've been maining support for a while now, and i main thresh, one of the many questions I sometimes ask myself is Relic Shield or Ancient Coin. I love the new Relic Shield for the quest and the bonus shield build up but i sometimes wonder if its worth it on Thresh anymore? The quest is a new and very much improvement on giving us supports something to look forward to when we get so many coins with what we use but when Thresh has to last hit it is very much a high risk high reward. Basically i dont want to take my ADCs farm so i try to go a little more passive with the new ancient coin and Riot it is fantastic! Only one thing though.. You dont earn as much gold as before. On waves of minions when you first get the ancient coin you get maybe on average 1-2 per wave? 3 if youre lucky enough. But at the beginning sometimes they rarely spawn. While you do get 20 gold for coin i feel as if im not getting as much when i used the old ancient coin. Which sucks because when my ADC and i back he gets a BF sword or more and im stuck deciding on if i should get a Refillable potion or not just to save gold on buying multiple pots. Old Ancient coin was kinda stale, and i love the new improvements on support items! I just would like to see maybe a slight increase on ancient coin gold when a coin drops? Maybe 25 for beginning and keep 30 for upgrading? I could just be being very picky but i would like a little more coins so i can start tank faster to peel for my ADC. Support mains need that extra dough so we can keep supporting. But all in all I love the new support items and their new quests! Keep on improving!

The new ancient coin seems weaker of the three, while relic shield seems the strongest. I don't lie - I was a Soraka with ancient coin vs a braum with relic shield and picked up every single coin/mana drop from it, since we were pushing lane and I could easily pick everything up - yet i was still down with around 75 gold with my quest, than Braum. Overall, coin feels like it offers the less gold generation, and spellthief feel exactly the same as before.

Not to mention coin lost its HP sustain passive and the mana sustain feels non-existent. Making me , backing way more often than before and staying behind, a lot more too.. Before i could step up, poke a bit with Raka then stay back for 1-2 waves and my HP would be OK.. now I'm scared to step out even for a moment, since I have no way to return my HP, unless i use HP10 seals, pots or Q spam, which in turn leaves me manaless. They wanted to make us more active in lane, when in reality this new change made us even more passive, since our mana drops so fast and Raka's HP is hard to fill up now.

Another thing - Coin's quest reward, also feels a bit lacking. The movement speed burst from Frost Qeen's an the 'almost' constant shield from Ancient Shield, are way more useful than a spell point. The spellpoint is nice, but totally losses its value after certain time.
