cassiopeia changes make me very sad

i have been playing league of legends since season 4 and Cassiopeia has always been one of my favorite and best champs. i know this probably means nothing to anyone but it makes me very sad to see her changed completely. i mean i don't really care about a few numbers here and there but they changed her COMPLETELY. it feels like losing an old friend and make my physically sad to know that i will never have her as an option to play again. Cassiopeia was an extremely unique champion. To me this would be just as bad as riot going and completely reworking Ezreal and Lee Sin. Cassiopeia had a very balanced sensible kit. so why change it. why cant you just release a new champion. why do you have to take away my oldest friends?

agreed, the changes arent that great... personnally i think they need to incorporate in her new passive her gainning some magic pen at certain, level say 6-11-16 to compensate the option of sorcerer's boot being removed as a magic pen option. and also being able to choose the distance at which your miasma lands on w would be a good toutch... i dont mind it stopping at walls. i know they plan to lower the cd of twin fang down to .75 but yeah she feels a bit lacking.

mh, maybe. But some people who liked previous Cassio won't feel great just because they buff the hero until she gets balanced. Cassio was/is my main and I don't like how they changed W and E. Changes at passive and some numbers are ok but why they threw off the balance of this hero completly with an unnecessary rework.

Agree with you. Don't understand why changing the mechanics of a hero which works very well together, is unique and requires skill. At the same time they leave annie as she is who is just about flash in and oneshot someone while doing an aoe instant stun. It's not even like the changes are better, maybe the E is a little bit easier to use but her old W fit this hero much better than her new one. Also they threw off the complete balance of that hero. Prepatch I felt always good playing this hero. Now i have in so many situations problems because i'm missing something from previous Cassio.

I still hope they realize that and revert this rework but i doubt that since some players actually like this and they can't please everyone whatever they do since some players actually like it (for whatever reason haha)

I feel lucky my main zyra didn't come out that bad. Swain, vlad, and cass where gutted so hard.

She wasn't that well-balanced before- her time-gated passive was extremely hard to take advantage of, mostly since this season they started implementing changes to progress the game faster (ie favor early game) and she had been having mana problems. Really, those were probably minor problems that would be really easy to figure out (implement a new passive, adjust change base/ap ratio damage and mana cost).

However Riot asked the community what they wanted from the Cassiopeia rework direction and the community adamantly asked for a poison-focused, less twin-fang focused kit, despite Riot's warnings. Unfortunately, Riot gave in to the pressure of the community- you can see that the new kit has all the power/damage focused on Q and W and there is less focus on Twin Fang, which was where her dueling power always lay (in both of her previous iterations). I think it's just really stupid how the players gave her crap for being such a mechanically high skill champ to play, without thinking how her kit really fit together (really, but no one complains about Draven, Lee Sin, Vayne). I'm sure most of them probably won't even play Cass that much, or even less, despite Riot implementing all the changes they wanted.

She's definitely easier to play, yet her kit is less cohesive/synergistic and less satisfying.
