The Aftershock Rune...

I don't know where this really goes but this seems like it fits here. I've been having this.. problem.. playing bot lane and having a support with Aftershock. For example, a Thresh Support, you see, lets say your thresh support lands a really great hook on the enemy adc and then you begin to engage, after deleting their health you just need one more auto to get the kill! And as soon as you know it... POOF! there goes aftershock AND your kill :')))))))). Anyone else have this problem or am I just trash ( bc i am :')))) ). It would be nice if aftershock can proc a little faster than usual. This problem can also just be happening to me and I could just have very bad luck :')
