Been here for a month now, and he is obv. a terribly designed champion. He feels awful to play and play against. For the first time in 10 years, I actually think a champion should be removed from the game.
Classic CertainlyT design, overpowered and with a trillion mechanics.
He has +200% banrate in Kr challanger(over 200% comes from remakes).
Which shouldn't really surprise anyone who has been paying attention to this imbalance team.
I agree. Aphelios is not a champion that should exist in this game. In nearly every game I've played, he's been banned as well, and not even by me.
you dont have to see the champion in game to know its bad design ... just look at the designer ..
yet again certainlyT cannot design a champ ..... his champs always miss the mark of the supposed design attribute that should be included. ..... and that is ... being "fair to play against" does certainlyT champs have that? No ... >_>
Aphelios has now brokened the all time record as the most banned champion in korea, this is far worst than kassadin
Because he is WAY easier to play then Riot thinks.
Its the same with Yasuo and Akali and Riven an a bunch of "skill" champs.

I'm tired of the new champions they release.
They either need to give us more ban slots or start adding counterplay to champions they release again.
We always get these new champions now that are just impossible to balance because they have no weakness. If a champion becomes a must ban, you did something wrong Riot. It's time to understand that instead of being stubborn.
In 6 months Aphelios is going to fall off because they'll gradually cave, and start significantly nerfing him, but he's always going to be BS. Nobody is ever going to want to see him buffed. It just leaves a bad taste in everyone's mouth and is a waste of time.
Just because we tolerate Yasuo does not mean they should keep making overloaded champions. There's starting to be too many that are active in the meta.
Grav cannon is his most unnecessary and toxic component of his kit. Change the root to an empowered slow and it instantly resolves a lot of his free kiting and trading patterns.
From there, cull the CertainlyT trademarked superfluous mechanics like getting a free overheal shield and MS buff, and give his flame thrower the same drawback as 
's rocket launcher autos with slower attack speed.
After that it's just getting damage numbers balanced with the rest of the ADCs.

Why the fuck is the board's first reaction to anything being strong to revert or remove it? Like, jesus fucking christ, that's what balance changes are for. They're to balance the fucking champion. If Riot removed shit as soon as it was strong there'd be no fucking League, because everything would have been removed immediately.
Also, he doesn't. Yeah, it's high, but there's quite a big difference between 75% and 90%.
EDIT: Yeah, I misread. Pick+Ban, not just ban. Regardless, a champion being strong IS NEVER justification to outright delete them. It's called a fucking balance patch.
Aphelios has about a 90% pick ban rate in master+
Where are you getting this number from? I checked 4 sites and they say 10-15% pick ban in master+
