My only issue with Autofill

Hey guys!

TL;DR: Make autofill a mechanic that can be turned on or off by the player, allowing that individual to choose if they want longer queue times for their main, or less time for a quick fill.

It seems that autofill is one of the main forum talks right now, along with lethality and certain champions abusing it.

Personally, I like the idea of the current system, especially considering we came from a system that was literally random every queue. Pick order was an absolute mess. I like the fact that we can pick our roles and (for the most part) can play where we want. However, autofill sometimes gets in the way of that system. The queue time issue isn't something any one person can speak for, especially since every individual has different patience levels. With that said, the main thing about autofill that bothers me is that it's a forced system.

The easiest fix (in my humble opinion) is to make autofill an option that can be adjusted by the player. Simply allowing it to be turned on or off, and giving the player control over how it applies to their queue.

For example, I would keep it on because I don't have much time to play in a day, so I'd rather be in game sooner.

Someone that wants their main or secondary could turn it off, and if they need to wait for 15 minutes to get that, they made their choice.

Further improving the system, we could control how often we have it activated in comparison to protected. Allowing the player to choose maybe 3 protected to 1 activated.

A solution like this seems solid, what do you guys think?
