Is the ranking system fair?

Is the ranking system really fair? Before you think "Oh he's salty because he is low elo", here me out. It is a question I have thought of ever since my starting League around season 1 or 2. With that being said, I wanted to know if it is fair right now, not the past. So, I took to the bronze elo with a friend to find out! Now before we get into that I just wanted to let you guys know I am not salty about my rank. I am currently in gold 2, and I have peaked at platinum 3 (near high elo). I personally believe I am definitely a gold player, and that I should work harder to get back to platinum. Although, just because the system works for me, doesn't mean it works for the majority.

What happened? I found out it is ridiculously difficult to climb in lower elos. The rate of trolling/inting or people dcing + threatening to DC in ranked matches is INSANE. It took me about 20 games even playing hyper carries to go from bronze 4 to bronze 3. I know for a fact it is not my skill levels. I'd tend to believe it has more to do with the 5 super fed enemies regardless of my personal strength.

Overall it goes without saying that the rank system isn't necessarily "fair", only the extremely dedicated manage to move up and truly find their rank. Now that doesn't mean it is riots fault whatsoever. If anything it has more to do with the rapidly growing and toxic community in League of Legends at the moment. I urge those of you who do use malicious practices in ranked games to consider your team mates (the ones who aren't being a chode). After all, the mute buttons were created for a reason. Let's prevent arguing that only hinders the game and focus on the task at hand, winning and proving everyone wrong.

I want to know everyone else's opinion on the subject, and maybe even some solutions. Drop a comment below and let's have a discussion :)

Cause your not playing like a bronze player . Also there are a lot of players in low elo to be honest are better then you .

If you truly believe you're a gold player and you're having issues about climbing from bronze 4 to bronze 3 you might not be as skilled as you thought. I climbed with my friend who was in iron all the way to bronze 1 in about 5 days. Its about winning streaks and knowing how to carry from your role. You dont just do good in lane and say "i cant carry"

You cant climb in low Elo soloQ unless you are Plat+ already.

Riot does not care that their match making is a mess in anything lower then Plat even tho most of their player base lives there.

They also rig Promos to make you lose more often then win and this is ANOTHER way to keep people from climbing.

They are resetting D+ because of the shitfest Positional Ranks left but leaving everyone else with the mess.

S8 I ran a 50-53% win rate over the season.

S9 Im at 41% because I constantly get complete Trash on my team and or the enemy team has a Duo Smurfs.

Often I will get matches like this

My team overall win rate average is <45% Enemy's overall average win rate is >55%

This is not a fare match at all

Some times ~1 in 5 games the enemy will have someone with 80% win rate and my team will not have anything close to that.

Riot often picks the winners before champ select. Its neglect of the game on Riots part.

As of posting this, in my last 30 games, 17 are losses. 11 of those losses I was the "Ace" (Best performing player on the losing team) according to opgg. I even tried playing carry roles and couldn't carry, it literally feels like luck of the draw. Does anyone have any tips because I'm consistently performing well and still the majority of my games are losses. If the game was based on indivdual performance I would be able to climb. OPGG manages to do it, they have a score system that shows how well each player in the game performed. Why can't the MVP and the players ranked 2nd to 5th gain elo and then the players who ranked 6th to 10th lose elo? (even if they were on the winning team)
