Annie's kit

I think Annie 's Q should be a skill shot. Considering if her passive is up. She can use a targeted stun that lasts for TWO seconds. Veigar and Ryze got their Q's turned into skill shots and I think it would balance out the game a little bit more. She also has two AOE abilities that are able to stun!

But the Zed mains are happy!

Next, Malzahar has a too strong kit against Zed so he will be nerfed reworked, yes, reworked.

It also has a short range compared to other skillshots for compensation. For reference, its range is about 625 while Zed's Q is over 900 and hits multiple targets while Annie's only hits one (and her aoe spell has even shorter range, I believe).

If it was turned into a skillshot, it would be a lot more powerful.

And I think that Zed shouldn't be untargetable during his ult or be able to switch with his shadow, but that's part of his power budget just like Annie getting a targeted spell. Annie is immobile and has short range, so she gets targeted abilities and decent cc burst as compensation.

No more nerfshot ''reworks'' please.

Ryze, Zilean and Veigar being gutted ''reworked'' doesnt mean we have to destroy Annie's kit too.

i doubt that annies q being a skill shot would change her game play all that much considering you want to use tibbers for the stun and aoe. but in saying that it would make this "nerf" completely unnecessary

"nerf", What do you mean? She would be able to farm safely from a distance with this "buff". (Read in sarcastic tone)

aha how could i have missed that key feature of this "buff" i really hope it goes through. (more sarcasm)

Honestly, even if they did this it wouldn't change her post-6 power much. Most Annies use Tibbers to stun, and while they're stunned they can freely cast Q for a guaranteed hit.

ryze's q shouldn't be a skill shot in the first place

Annie is a pretty darn toxic champion, I'll give you that, but I'm not sure that would be the best way to fix her kit.... I think she needs a lot more than that. Her passive is busted beyond reason. It wouldn't be so much of a problem if she had a shorter range. Her autoattack range, and the range on all of her spells (save her shield, of course) is larger than that of most ADC's... I think the only exceptions are Caitlyn, and Tristana after she gets to level... 12? I think?

Her kit is way to versatile to have a passive like that. She has 3 spells, all of which cover her bases when her stun is available. 1v1? You just use your single target. Getting ganked? Use your spell with a cone-shaped range, or your ult. Teamifght time? Pop your ult in the middle and stun everyone. If you get in close, you're screwed. Stand too far away, you're screwed. The only dependable way to beat her is to either rush her down early, or stay so far away you can just avoid her spells with champions like Xerath who just poke from a distance.

her range is NOT longer than most ADCs. In fact her range is tiny and about the same as Darius. 625 auto range =/= 625 spell range. And you have it exactly right: either get in her face and assassinate her before she can react, or stay out of her range and poke her down. There's nothing wrong with having to change your playstyle. Do you play the same vs. a Nasus and a Pantheon? Do you play the same when their jungler is J4 as when their jungler is Warwick? Do you play the same against Corki as you do against Vayne? Thresh vs. Soraka? Then why do you expect to play the same vs. Annie, not change, and still win?

I have no problem with changing how you play; one of my biggest problems with solo q is that people don't understand how to counterplay against some champions like Katarina. Instead of staying close to your minions against her, you should probably stay away from them because of her bouncing blade. I'm fine with countering champs with how you play. However, if you're close or far, Annie can ruin your day pretty easily. If you stand inside your minions, she'll hit you with incinerate. If you stand back, as soon as you get into range, she can single-target stun you with disintegrate. If you try to trade, she's got her shield, or she can use her shield to get your stun up.

Most champions people play mid are in the danger zone if they want to poke, or if Annie is close to the wave and you want to CS. My problem is with how versatile her stun is. How many other champions have 3 stuns built into their kit? The only other one I can think of is Kennen, and his is totally different. Yeah, I think that's the biggest issue I have: all of her abilities can be stun if you want them to be. With other champions there's a clear way to avoid their stun that would leave you open, because it's only one move, but with Annie, any spell is a death sentence.

just 5 months ago, no one complained about Annie, despite her being literally one of the first champs released. Why? Its almost like people completely forgot about how to play against her. Of course her natural predators being nerfed helped, but don't think that was enough.

  1. bait her stun; if she is holding stun, she is not using spells to farm. if she uses spells to farm, she can't hold stun.
  2. outrange her. she has no way to close the gap.
  3. facetank her. In season 4, Annie was hard countered by Lulu and Orianna who would shield her Q harass and then poke her down with superior range. With fast reflexes, you can shield her ult. Done it before with Lulu. I imagine the same can be done with Riven or Morg, especially since she has no mobility, so if she falls behind, she stays behind, unlike mobile champs who can more easily roam for ganks.
  4. burst her down. Talon and Fizz were notorious for this in season 3/4, since they could delete Annie before she could react and were invisible/untargettable while doing so. Unfortunately Talon got his silence removed and Fizz got number nerfed twice to hell.
  5. play Nidalee. Not much Annie can do against Nidalee due to both her long range poke and short range burst, and she can't even follow Nidalee's roams since Nidalee is far more mobile.

Do you really want Annie to be able to stun from 900 range? W already is an instant stun that can't be blocked by minions and has about the same range. Making Q a skillshot wouldn't do much other than give her more range.
