I think I know why Riot is implementing all these mana nerfs
They are trying to bring
back to it's viable state.
Remember when they reduced the cost of
,buffed Athene's passive and said that they will try to find a path to bring Athene's Grail popularity amongst midlaners back? I think this is what they are currently doing right now. Because nowadays
seems to outclass
very hard, and is a more popular item overall, not that I'm saying it replaces
in all aspects, some mids still get Athene's, but still.
If - I repeat and emphasice - IF what I've proposed is true, then I'd say the way it is being done is very poor, currently - by changing Masteries and gutting mages' mana reg to 6 mana/5 sec. By forcing mana dependent midlane champions to get Athene's because they have had their early mana reg cut in all ways possible you make them delay their powerspike items or simply items that they really need in general to be useful. And if you still go for AP items instead of early mana reg you will be OOM in a matter of time because mages HAVE TO use their spells to harass/farm under tower.
And then
says: "Ayy lmao, u use mana and strongly wish for any mana regeneration in lane just to be useful? well too bad m8, go buy
ASAP or I will kill you one more time, just like I did when I immediately hit lvl 6"
Also I think these mana nerfs will be causing mages to play **much more **safely and only use their mana wisely in order to farm because then after the changes if as a heavily mana dependant mage you are going to waste your mana for trades, you will run OOM and will be a walking piece of meat very soon. Mages that have low or sparing mana costs on thier abilities will be more viable than ever, and mages who rely on mana heavily will only be picked against the likes of their kind.
Why are you hating mages, Riot? Is it because you favor assasins or no-resource champions in the midlane above teamfight mages or what? I don't see ANY FREAKING LOGIC behind these changes.
