The Meta and other reasons why I uninstalled after playing for almost 3 years...
First thing I want to say is, I have put hundreds of hours and dollars into this game over the past (almost) 3 years, so I have seen a lot of changes, many diverse metas and so forth. I uninstalled the game today, for two reasons. One is that I want to play this game with my friend who I've been playing with since day one (he's deployed), but the main reason is that I have absolutely zero desire to play the game as it stands. I'm truly hoping in 3-4 months the balance issues and mets will have changed enough that I'll want to play the game again. But, for now, Riot has lost a consistent customer and player.
On a parting note, 6 bans is no longer enough. With an ever-increasing champion pool, we can't ban nearly enough problem champions, I'm sick of seeing the exact same chamions picked or banned. Every. Single. Game. Perhaps it's the ELO I'm at, but that should still be cause for concern. Also, the current meta is horrible, past and future item changes are making the game entirely about who has more tanks than the other team, and there is ABSOLUTELY no reason that servers should be this bad.
Also, what requirements does a game have to meet for a loss forgiven to apply? I lost 4 games in a row to one or more AFKs on my team, the last game had a duo bot who never even connected. How does that possibly NOT get a loss forgiven? Am I supposed to try win a 3v5 and waste 8 players" time that could be put towards another game?
