Losing EVERY SINGLE RANKED GAME. pls help and give advice.

Lil Fyre··8 votes·12,771 views

Hello everyone. I have played around 25 ranked games and literally have an 8 percent win rate. When I play normals, I seem to do fine. I even perform better than usual. I'm super confused and very frustrated. I want to play ranked because it seems like fun, but it isn't fun at all when you lose every game. There are a few games where I get super unlucky and get things like Shen support who literally stays mid the whole time... but other times I jus feed really bad.

I am an ADC main and I am in Bronze 3. I was placed in Bronze 1 but got demoted. If you see this, please give advice! I really don't think I'm a terrible player because im quite good in normals, but ranked is really putting me down. Pls help. thx.

Ranked players are honestly worse than most normals players. I'm not sure what it is other than people being beaten down by a diseased culture of trolling and not giving a fuck because they can't hit their goals.

And for the record, this season has some of the worst play I've ever seen at Bronze and Silver. There's clearly people who have almost no experience playing.

Paladin 0f Life1 votes

That makes it easier to get lead and carry fyi. Because for every troll on your team their Is one on the other. But one less on yours if you don't tilt. Statistics in your favor

Great Muta1 votes

This theory doesn't work with 3-5 man premades.

Paladin 0f Life1 votes

Oh but if you camp it does. Especially riven, yasuo, shaco or just the village idiot... always a few in bronze. Gank. Kill. Gank more. They tilt and feed you press tower then rotate. Then get objectives even though your team is stupid too. Yours is less tilted

TheSingularity3 votes

Be sure to take a break on tilt. Play some arams, some norms or take a break from playing entirely.

For me the key was to blame myself for everything that went wrong, both mentally and in the chat. As by saying mb in chat relieves pressure from your team mates. Example. Bot gets ganked and double dies, i main jg and I'd go "mb, shoulda warded on my way past" as I always get green smite. Not only is the adc less likely to rage and tilt both himself and the support but they may even be shocked into saying "allg" due to a rare act of selflessness.

And being overly critical of yourself instead of going "stupid vel koz missed his slow" for example, can help unveil the little mistakes and bad patterns you're consistently making.

This mindset helped me improve big time compared to how bad I was. It taught me better ward locations in the jungle. To ward more often, period. Improved decision making around objectives and gank priorities. I simply gave less sh*ts about loosing as I could NEVER come out of a game thinking "I was perfect, my team was shit and that's why Iost" There's allot more but they're much smaller issues that lead to a large improvement once addressed.

Hope this helps you bra and glhf

ADC is a hard role to play at lower ELO's, Bronze to Low Silver. If you really want to play it though you can practice a few things to help you improve. Just note that I don't play ADC, but I am familiar with a few basic tools required to play the role.

  • CSing is key on an ADC, this is how you get the gold for the items you need.
  • Trading is a big part of Bot lane, you need to learn when and how to trade.
  • Positioning with an ADC is incredibly important, specially during Teamfights.
  • Don't be alone! This is a huge issue I see in low elo, ADC is off alone farming and dies for it.

For now all you really need to work on is CSing and Positioning. If you get better at those two things, you will easily climb out of Bronze.

You can practice CSing by going into a Custom Game and farming alone. Farm for about 10 minutes, try to reach around 60-80 CS by the end of 10 minutes. If you can't, start over and try again. If you can hit that marker, start over anyways and try to improve it. I think at 10 minutes there are around 100-110 minions (i can't remember off the top of my head the exact number), so you want to eventually be hitting as close to 100 as possible.

Once you can consistently hit around 80-90 CS by 10 minutes, try adding in a Bot into your Custom Game. Then try to hit that same CS marker with an enemy in lane, do this until you can do it consistently. If you want to practice trading, you can do it at this point as well. You want to attack the enemy as much as you can without missing any CS and taking as little damage to yourself as you can. A good moment to trade is when they move in to last hit a Minion, they will be more focused on getting the Minion than on you, so you can get easy trades like this. HOWEVER! You don't want to lose CS! At this ELO, CS is your lifeblood, it will be how you carry yourself out of Bronze.

As for Positioning, that is something you more learn through playing with a champion. You learn their maximum range and therefore how far you can stay back and still be relevant in the teamfight. You want to position yourself in a way that their Carries can not attack you, for now you should prioritizing on not being attacked by enemy carries. There is a lot of mechanical and decision making skill that goes into Positioning in a teamfight, but for you all you need to worry about is not being killed immediately. If you followed the first advice, chances are you have a ton of gold and can almost just AFK attack them and watch them melt.

This next piece of advice is important for all roles or champions you play, STAY CALM. You are going to lose and lose and lose, but if you stay calm and don't let it effect you, you will win twice as many games as you lose. Don't blame your teammates, look at yourself, what did you do wrong and where could you have improved? You gain nothing by blaming your teammates, but you have everything to gain by looking at your own mistakes. If you feel yourself get tilted, don't worry that is natural just stop playing for a bit. Playing while angry or tilted will just cause you to play bad and you will most likely lose.

So remember just stay calm and cool, if a teammate makes a mistake just ignore it, you are going to see a lot of mistakes in Bronze. If you didn't make mistakes you wouldn't be in Bronze. Trust me it is actually very easy to climb out of Bronze once you focus on improving yourself and less on what your teammates are doing. This will also help you in Silver, because Silver is harder to climb out of than Bronze is.

Good luck and I hope you can end up climbing. Also if someone contradicts what I am saying, you should probably listen to them because I am just a Gold V noob with a lot to improve on myself lol

First thing that you have to do is relax and think. Do you win lanes? Is your cs and kills better than enemies? Do you have right build? Check guides or look what top players build, if you're not sure.

Understand that some matchups are harder. Some matchups can't be won, unless enemy will do mistake.

Find out what match ups you like and which is not. Think what you can do.

Don't listen that adc is bad in bronze. I personally left bronze by maining twitch. My diamond brother once played on bronze acc as Tristana and made penta (or even two), had score like 35-2-20 and said that bronze players are just doing random stuff: they don't focus adcs, don't ward and always going alone nowhere.

Think, maybe you need to change champion - adcs with escape Like Tristan are much easier.

Use common sense. Don't stay alone without wards if you don't know where enemies are. Don't dive on level 2. Don't make game longer if you're ahead - enemies can comeback. Don't fight If enemies have advantage. Don't def tower 1v3. Buy Ga if you're oneshotted. Take tower every time it's possible. Stay behind tanks. Find out how work different champions combinations: will you be able to push enemies with your picks or you'll need Baron. Etc. Common sense.

My best advice to you would be to go on the Team Recruitment boards and find a support to work with, this would you out a lot since you can communicate and synergyse way better than a random support. Best of luck finding someone! http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/team-recruitment

Stop playing ADC. Even though the C literally stands for Carry you won't be able to do it from that position unless your team plays as needed, and let's be honest that's a tall order in bronze. I too was an ADC main in Bronze, switched to top lane, got to Gold with no troubles and have consistently gotten my alt accounts to gold as well.

My comment is trolling.

Don't watch too many. How can you learn what you don't know? Watch diamond and play players explain things like foxdrop. Or phylol. Not pro cuz it's a whole different deal with Coms and whatnot.

Watch diamond and play players explain things like foxdrop.

Also take diamond players with a grain of salt; I've seen challenger players habitually waiting for last-hit on minions with a Sivir.

Same going on with me. Lost every single game to where I just gave up on doing ranked a little after I placed in Bronze 3. Support main here.

Oh yes, this is me. I was a Support main placed in Silver 5, and that was my first time doing ranked. I then proceeded to get stuck with teams who almost always did something horrible, like troll, rage, or just feed for giggles. Playing ranked as Support is like playing Russian Roulette with 5 bullets - you might win, but since you can't carry the the game, you'll most likely lose. And the whole "gain less LP than you lose" really keeps sucking you deeper into the abyss that makes climbing out of hell an impossibility without a premade.

Paladin 0f Life1 votes

You might be tilted. Take breaks. Also play champs you are comfortable with don't like play Vayne and expect to be gosu. Learn power spikes and matchups. Then kill them when you know you can don't do sketchy stuff like dives. Play safer. Farm for late then carry. Itemize against assassinsome so prevalent in bronze ie Stereks, Mercsword, maw. Get last Whisper with grevious agaist healing champs etc

dont play adc in bronze play a support.

i Played leona from b5 to silver and it worked out because i can help get my adc get fed and the cc help my team in team fights.

I recommend play these support has tank with cooldown:Leona Blitzcrank If you want to be aggressive and put more damage play these support Lux ,Nautilus and kayleKayle

Recommend you play some normal first get a feel for the champion in support roles

I think you got lucky. I play Nautilus support in ranked, and always get plagued by ADCs who just watch and do nothing to move on my grabs, or if they do, they rush in and start trying to 1v2 everything while the enemies turn from me to them. Nautilus is good, but in a fight, he can't do much peeling without Q or his Ult, so if the ADC goes ham and you've already used Q or R, they're pretty much going to get slaughtered.

arcDapineapple1 votes

that why Lux and Kayle in the list because you want to be supportive but also independent too over all in bronze aggressive ap support are the best because the 2 item you need are item 3092 item 2045 and you can build damage item.

But ultimately in rank it comes down to communication you can have the best team comp but with no communication:

  • Cannot capture objective
  • Stall out game longer and enemy team catch up
  • Cannot combo your abilities in team fight or can't focus the target
EVG Mike1 votes

Climbing / Winning in ranked is a result of improving at the game. If you focus on your gameplay and fixing your own mistakes, you will climb over time.

Locke Daemonfire1 votes

I don't mean to be cruel, but based on whatismymmr, your normal mmr is quite a bit lower than your ranked mmr. If you look at your opponents' rankings, you'll notice that you have a fair number of Bronze 5 and unranked players in your normal games. You probably do better in normals because you are playing against easier opponents there.

My advice is to play conservatively when you play in ranked. Focus on improving things like CS and taking short trades, while avoiding risky plays. Don't worry about winning or losing. After some more games, a combination of your own improvement and mmr adjustment should get you to a more reasonable win rate.

the Adc role in bronze is probably the worst role to play (Even more so then support) Simply due to the fact that you have to have a good support in order to do well as an Adc (while a support can still do work with a shitty adc).

But if you really wanna play Adc then I'd suggest getting good at champions like Lucian or Vayne, since they can carry themselves provided your good enough.

Side note: You only have a few hundred games in normals, while it may seem like a lot, the entry lvl for even a bronze player is quite high(For a new player). So I wouldn't expect you to climb anyways, till you get more experience.

But if you'd like some coaching on getting better, I'd be happy to help, just add me in game and i"ll msg back sometime.

wow. Thanks a lot man. I added you in league if you are willing to give me some advice. :)

Even though people avoid two roles: which is ADC and Support, because they have to be together in one lane and you can get lack of synergy and miscommunication, lack of level advantage etc. It still is possible to carry yourself to wherever you want with whatever role you play.

If you are dropping from bronze 1 to bronze 3 them maybe it means that you are playing with better players and you are not yet in your "ELO". You can't see your rank on normals, because it's hidden, so it might look like you are doing really well. Maybe eventually when you drop to bronze 4 or 5 you will see that you are doing really well in that rank, and maybe that's where you belong at this time. Normally when you play every game, whether it's normal or ranked, loss or a win, you try to learn something from it. It's kind of automatic and you can learn a lot from every game. In your case you tell that you feed - which means that you maybe need to relook your strategy/aggresiveness and runes ?

Again, in some ways you won't have a control over something - you can't choose your support if you go as solo. But if you find a friend, you can duo queue with them as support and turn your lane into a huge advantage.

who do you play

Espurr VI1 votes

I checked your match history. You need to up your farm. 28 minute game and you only have 78. That's extremely low. A good ADC will have around 150-200, if not MORE. The goal of the adc is to kite the enemy. Vayne does this very well, but she's very hard to do it with. Your team has to peel for you to keep the assassins off you, but you also have to keep yourself behind your allies so the enemies can't jump on you.

Same. I mean in normals as kha'zix I easily get at least 10 kills a game and in ranked i get shit on.

Gibberwatt1 votes

Several things: In bronze, you will probably have to solo carry your game, unless you duo/get lucky. This sucks as an adc main, cause you are dependant on your supp to set kills up for you early. You probably have two choices: play your MAIN main, the one you can 1v2 with, the one you can 1v3 with, from the start of the game, cause you have to pretend your supp doesn't exist. If they do well, thats great, you will crush lane. If they feed, you might be able to still win, since you are a god Ashe player, or whatever. For me, I like anivia Supp, since I can and have 1v2 carried bot lane, with my adc feeding. (to clarify, I will help my adc early game, but if he/she demostrates a lack of a brain, I will assume the carry role as well as the supp role, and my adc can have the assists/farm). Or, you can move to a different lane. a 1v1 lane. Then its just you and your enemy.

Also, in bronze, I notice that when I don't supp, I get some iffy supps, like vi supp, who doesn't buy a supp item, or lee supp, which is just weird, or darius supp, which doesn't make anys sense.

I also loose every single game I have 4 ranked wins in total with like 20 total played on like a 7 loss streak right now. In draft I can destroy pretty much any position I play besides mid which I never ever play. Unless I get hard counter picked or one of my teammates is feeding super hard I can do just fine hold my lane or be a proper jg. Many many s- and higher games. The second I hop into ranked I loose every single game and its very irritating it put me as bronze 4 straight out the gate and ive lost every single game since I got it except one where I had a vayne that went 30/8 on my team. Im coming to the realization if you dont play a hyper carry and actually carry your team looses. In most my ranked games I hold my lane just fine, I analyze my issues and see if there is anything better I can do and most the time there isnt I do everything the best I possibly can I always keep wards up and never overstay a welcome so on. But it seems every single game is lost and I dont know why. http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=Motestagoats thats my OP.gg check it out let me know or just add me
