Game mechanics every good player should know?

As the title says: what game mechanics should every good player know? For instance: auto attack clicking in order to target nearest enemy with minimal risk for miss clicks, casting an ability on the target before flashing in order to cast as soon as you flash, etc. Are there anymore important ones that should be used?

I'm sorry, what? Those are personal preferences rather than something that can be applied universally.

Some people prefer attack move click to target nearest cursor click. Some people prefer playing on quick cast rather than normal cast.

It's like saying "Putting flash on F is a game mechanic every good player should know"

But anyways, I'll start with: There are two places you can flash to escape with a high success rate. You can practice the gaps in a custom. These two places can be found in top lane and bot lane (circled in red).

Well my examples weren't meant to be interpreted as facts. But as far quick casting is concerned there is an advantage. Once mastered it is once less click, and in a heated team fight that could mean the difference between getting a kill and being killed. But thank you for the flashing contribution. Those are still spots I have to practice.
