I know there's already a lot of complaints about matchmaking, but...
I knew it's always been a problem, but holy shiet, I didn't think it'd get THIS bad. The days before I quit and after I came back in the last week ish are like, operated by a completely different company (for the worse). What the hell happened?
I know games aren't always evenly matched, there's always margin of +/- a few divisions, and from what I heard lately players who are one or two leagues apart have been placed together, so at least I was told, prepared for that...
But I wasn't prepared for this. My last game. I'm silver 4. My opponent is diamond 4. Yes, I'm using the same mode, same ranked mode that we're playing, as comparison, I'm not using his best rank from other modes with worst rank of mine. You have no idea the kind of horror I had. I had to turtle behind tower and even then I still died a few times due to bad decisions (decided to leave tower to help teammates or last hit minions). If one of my opponents didn't decide to int and feed everyone on my team, we would've lost, and that's not the point. Win or not, it was plain miserable, and unfair.
I asked around, yes, I was told that games are matched based on matchmaker rating. What is the point of league and division then? Actually, forget it, it's riot's decision on that matter and I have no say. The question should be, okay, so games are matched based on mmr, and if players 3 leagues apart are in the same game, don't you think there's something goddamn wrong with that mmr system? Maybe it's giving too much mmr to low league players like me or too little mmr to high ranked players? Why should a silver 4 player need to win against a diamond 4 player in order to climb in silver IV?
