top lane champion pool for climbing

hey, i main mid lane but i need a secondary role so i choose top lane. I see everyone telling u need to have a small champion pool of 3 different kinds of top laners. the bruisers, the gap closers, and the ranged pokers. i don't really know what champions to pick since i like multiple. i like to play akali, renekton, riven, gankplank, jayce, kennen and jax , but what would be the best champion pool out of this champions (preferably 3)? thank you for the support.

The best top laner is the one you enjoy and win the most on. Stick to 2-3 champs, having backups to lanes that are awful for your main top laner to go into.

My main top laners are Mordekaiser Sion Rumble Sometimes I'll go Karthus Tryndamere into certain matchups but they are my niche picks, honestly.

You should take those champs you listed and pick 3 that win different matchups. No reason to play champs with similiar play.

I will say however to probably stay away from Jax unless you really love him, he's a pretty weak laner and easy to punish. Gangplank is only really good if you are really good at him and can combo. You need to know how to play safe on him and survive early. Always run summoner 3 instead of teleport on GP top, it's how you survive awful lanes, othewise people will just dive you if they aren't bad.
