Warwick's Infinite Duress

So Warwick's ult can be cancelled due to CC once he lands it and I understand the reasoning behind it. We don't really need another Malzahar point and click R and on a champ as dominant as Warwick it would be really OP but in the case of landing it against Tristana I found that if she has already channelled her jump that she is able to escape it even though she is supposedly suppressed. Now I've been hit with CC while jumping as Tristana and the CC usually lasts even when you land but in this case she is still able to move around freely even though it shows the animation of infinte duress on her. Meanwhile, as Warwick I am locked in place during the animation and am unable to cancel it, move or flash to her to finish her off. I've messaged Riot about this and they said that it is not a bug and is intended to be this way. What I think should happen is if the target of infinite duress breaks free of the attack for any reason it should stop the animation and allow you to regain control of Warwick(unless you've been hit with hard CC of course). Otherwise you are stuck channelling the ability and can put yourself in a very sticky situation. Hopefully this gets resolved because if Tristana is able to escape more hard CC it just makes her escape and safety as a champ that much more powerful.
