Hello. I've been playing League on and off since approximately the preseason of S5 and I've grown to love it gradually more and more in time. I've played some ranked over the years and at first have gotten up to S2, eventually down to B5 and now am stably at S5. I've tried every champion at least once and found jungle to be my favorite role. I have a few champions I know very well and feel comfortable with, however at this point I feel as if my ability in all the lanes apart from the jungle is much lower than my elo. My performance as a top laner or an adc is so much dependent on luck and the given situation.

I feel as if playing mostly jungle robbed me of my chance to learn laning and at this point it's much harder to achieve, because my opponents in the lanes already know their champions and know what they're doing. any tips?

Play more tanks and front liners. Don't try to carry games with assassins like kha or gimmicky champs like hecarim. Don't pick lee sin since he takes alot of skill to use for a champ thats gonna fall off hard late game.

Instead pick tanks and fighters like Mao, Trundle, Sejuani, Shyvanna. Mundo,Warwick, or Olaf. Why? Because they deal great damage without building alot of damage items and they provide utility for your team that assassins don't. They all have hybrid damage of some sort so it's hard to itemize against their damage early. Assassin and adc's are super selfish picks, thats why so many people pick them. Be a team player and learn a front liner. The higher elo you go the more necessary they become.

My personal favorite tank is Sejuani. She has ranged abilities that CC, a dash, and some hybrid scaling on her W. She does a great mix of physical and magic damage and best of all she can take a hit and initiate fights for your super pussy team mates. I hated playing her at first as her gameplay almost put me to sleep but she is very effective and most importantly SHE WINS GAMES.

Thanks for the reply. I like Seju, I probably have highest survivability rate playing as her. But I haven't played as much of her as champs like Xin Zhao, Jax and Kayn. These three are my strongest champs and I have them all at 50-60% winrate. I usually build them as skirmishers (/bruisers) and serve as team utility if we aren't doing very well, thus I can understand the point you're making.

However, that isn't really the question which I have in mind. I'm not at issue in the jungle- apart from these 3 'mains', I have around 10 more champions that I feel comfortable in the jungle with. The issue is that I am so bad at all the other lanes and while all 4 of them have something in common- jungle is completely different and the ability from it doesn't transfer to the lanes, at least in my experience.

To put it more simply: tl;dr- Jungle to me is easy- all other lanes are hard. wat do?
