Is there an LP gin maximum?

I'm on a ranked 5s team and we are currently a gold 5 team. However, we got matched up against a platinum 2 ranked 5s team and beat them. I mean our team is full of Diamond and mid plat players as was their team so it was an even match. Anyways, we've played gold 1 teams other gold 5 teams and then the plat 2 team and we get the same amount of LP for a win every time, +35. So is that the cap on LP gains? Beating a team 8 divisions higher than you should give more than beating a team of equal rank realistically

The most ive ever gotten is 40, when i was silver 2 last season i played against plat 3 teams for whatever reason and we ended up winning. My friend got 50 once when he was in plat 2 and he thinks that is the cap

u answerd ur own question.... ur on a ranked g5 team.... full of D and mid plat players.... so ur not a gold5 mmr are ya? u play g1 and plat2 because u are yourselves among that rank mix.... its a mixed mmr based off your entire team...

so ya, i dont understand the question... u gain LP based off the algorithms decision on who should win or lose and then the actual outcome... thats not a cap outside of the expected response of the algorithm vs your teams ability to give unexpected victories

... the algorithm expected you to lose.. you won, and so you get the reward based on that, it expect you to be higher, say the dia lv the rest of your teammates are playing at
