Ranked Scoring

Dear Riot,

I would love it if you could please review my proposal for the League of Legends ranked system that is following;

Firstly, I would like to just reiterate that quite a large number of LOL fans and players are not the happiest with the way in which ranked games work and how it gives League Points if you win and then reduces League Points if you lose. Now many players and Riot staff may be reading this and wondering why I say this; yes, LOL is a team game, and yes it does make sense to have the LP added or reduced depending on whether you win or lose a game. But in Bronze and Silver you can get afk's and trolls, which yes, is like that for everyone so seems fair, to some people, but what if there was a way around this, a way that trolls could not reduce your LP quite so much, if at all.

My proposal is that, following the recent patches and the Mastery System, perhaps this could be used separately for Ranked games, measuring the grade of your performance to the average of other players within the same Tier as you. This would cause Trolls to have less of an impact, not gain promotions as easily and would also, "hopefully" make the game feel a little more fair.

Now I also understand that this may be a concern as it would reduce the idea of LOL being a team game and I am yet to think of an idea to resolve this within my proposal, but you guys(Riot staff) being the head of the snake, the Head of LOL(Hydra reference), then perhaps you guys could take my proposal into consideration and see if you can find a way to implement this mastery system for Ranked scoring whilst still including the importance of teamwork. Perhaps if this is even just by having part of the LP as the game outcome and part of it as your champion grade after each individual game.

I personally believe that if given the right amount of thought and the correct attention then, RIOT, you could make the ranking system something completely unique, completely fair, and a reflection of both teamplay and champion usage.
