Lol I liked how you wrote it. Good job, very informative, I actually learned something off of it. You should write more informative stuff for: new players/unranked/bronzies/silver elos. Dunno how you'd advertise it for especially the new(er) players learn from it, but good job nonetheless.

You were silver 5 last season. You will always be placed lower in the next season when you do placements.

When the ranked reset occurs the highest rank you can be placed in is Platinum 1. This means that all of the Diamond, Master and Challenger players are place into Platinum. This forces the Platinum players into Gold, the Gold players into Silver, and the Silver players into Bronze. Players who finished bronze in season 6 are pretty much guaranteed to get bronze again because everyone starts roughly a tier lower than where they finished last season (or more if you're really high ranked.)

You are exactly where you should be after the reset. What rank you got in your games has no bearing on where you get placed. If you deserve to be gold you'll climb there no problem. I'm already nearly back to where I was last season in flex queue after 18 games because you gain absurd amounts of LP at the beginning of the season.

This is a new season though. Why should your rank from last season affect you this year?

Did you not read his post about everyone shifting down from plat on down? A challenger climbs from plat, you can climb from bronze back to that coveted spot of S5

The new season always takes into account your rank from last season. That's the difference between a soft reset and a hard reset. If there was a hard reset then you'd wind up with bronze players playing against challenger players at the beginning for the season, it would be pure chaos.

Looking at your match history, your CS is absolute garbage. Remember, about 17 cs is worth the same as a regular kill. Also, you feed some games. There are probably who cry on these boards about you. Honestly surprised you were in silver last season if you played the same as now. There's no elo hell, only you holding yourself back. Sure, sometimes you get bad teammates that cost you a game. But they won't cost you elo. If you get in the mindset it's your team and not you, you'll never climb.

ELO HELL does exist. I find harder to play in Bronze with my alternative account than Silver-Gold with this account. in ELO HELL people don't have "bad games" like in leagues above but they take absolutely idiotic decisions against common sense and it negatively influences those who migh have good ideas, that's why it is ELO HELL. ELO HELL players don't win by skill or they don't get outplayed, most things happens by chance.
