Who is the best champion to use for mid?

As of now, I use Fiddlesticks or Shyvana for mid, and Talon or Zed for bot. The only problem with Fiddle is that he runs out of mana eventually, so I'll be stuck at mid with only basic attacks against a player without mana. Is there anyone better? Or should I switch lanes entirely? Fiddlesticks Shyvana Talon Zed

And WHAT DO I USE FOR AN ITEM SET FOR FIDDLE BECAUSE I'M NOT DOING TO GREAT WITH THAT xD

Last thing, I was thinking about getting Karthus, is he a good champion? His passive and Ult are great, I personally think. How much is he in RP/IP... Karthus

Once you get to higher levels, you see mages/assassins in mid. However, if you cant sustain your mana, I would reccomend trying zed and talon mid.

For fiddle, first item item 3157 works well.

I would recommend http://www.mobafire.com/ as a good site to look things up on.

Fiddle traditionally does best in the Jungle but can go mid, Shyvana traditionally does the best in top lane (and can jungle), and Zed/Talon are traditionally mid laners than can go top. You are still pretty new to the game, so I wouldn't worry too much about the lanes. However, with a few exceptions at level 30 if you run Shyvana in the midlane, you'll probably have a lot harder of a time. Karthus is pretty good, I don't play him when I am mid though so I can't really give much advice.

Watching someone like Scarra's stream would help you a lot if you want to learn mid because he is a mid-laner who spends a lot of time explaining what he does and why he does it.

The best advice I have for playing a mana champion in mid is to buy some pots, and conserve your mana until such a time as it is most effective to use an ability. It's something you learn with time.

item 3174 You can also work towards an Athene's Unholy Grail or another Mana Regen item on most mana champions if you need the extra mana regeneration. However, learning to conserve is always best.

As of now you shouldn't worry about which champ to master, just unlock whoever looks interesting and have fun. It can take a long time to find th champs that fit your playstyle and abilities.

Well these champions I chose to write about are my mains. I have more I could use. These ones fit me well! I just don't want to make everyone lose the game just because I can't hold mid for longer than 5 or 10 minutes without getting ganked or having to recall for mana potions or something :P
