Please allow players to purchase homeguards pre-20
Context: in 5.23 homeguards are being removed in the shop and are being given to everyone at 20 minutes at slightly nerfed values. Doesn't eat up the enchant slot, and acts only as a permanent buff for when you go back to base.
To begin, I like the idea of automatically giving homeguards to everyone at 20 min. It was miles ahead of the other enchants, so this change makes sense. However...
Outright removing the ability to buy it screws a lot of champions that liked to get homeguards early (Talon, Rammus, TF(?), QUINN, Rengar, and Hec to name a few). Early roaming is going to be a LOT more time consuming and less worth it with these changes, and will probably end up slowing down the game as a whole. So...
Why not allow players to get the homeguard buff early at a cost? Imagine it as if it were a permanent elixir. Buy it once (with tier 2 boots) and you receive the normal homeguard buff for the rest of the game. You can wait and get it for free like everyone else, but if you REALLY need to get your ass in gear and help other lanes, this item is for you. It could either be ONLY buff so you could buy other boot enchants, or it could eat up your enchant slot until 20 minutes so you're stuck with it.
This falls perfectly in line with Riot's idea of meaningful decisions they love shoving down our throat. Want an early boost to help other lanes? Sure, shell out X gold for something you can get for free later, but make sure you get your money's worth while your at it, or you just wasted time and money.
