Reviving Old Champions

Recently I have been missing some of the older things that have gone away from League of Legends, most of all is the champions. Before they were changed Gangplank and Darius were my favorite of all and I had the best time playing them back in season 3 and 4. However, when they were reworked I feel like I lost that feel of love for the champion (Gangplank particularly because Darius remained mainly the same). Similar to how old WoW players can't go back and experience vanilla servers old league players can't go back and play their favorite champions/patches. In this I was wondering if Riot has or would implement a plan to either : A) Bring back some old champions to play in normal games or B) Possibly introduce a rotating gamemode that allowed players to play on previous patches maybe. Not just for the old player but so the new players could see what the past was like as well. These things may seem like a stretch to do and maybe I'm the only one that wants them but that's what I'm posting here for. So let me know if you agree or not.. Thanks.
