Runes - A Different approach

The game has become less fun for me after the changes to runes. I feel so much squishier, and I feel like some champions were big winners while others don’t really have a good option. I also feel like this system forces gameplay into a “best in slot” style, ultimately decreasing customization options. I personally liked tweaking the old rune pages until I got them just right for my fav champs.

One thought I had was bringing back the old rune pages with a twist. Your marks, seals, and glyphs are the same as the old system, but your combination of quints unlocks a recipe specific keystone. This way, the players get more of the specific stats they want without having to sacrifice the interesting gameplay that keystones bring. I guess some combinations are better than others, but that’s for the balance team to hash out.

Hell, you could just bring back the old rune system, and have this new rune system serve as our masteries (after balancing of course). Just an idea, maybe someone could improve upon it.

Honestly they cant bring back old runes. Way to much technical stuff and might be impossible. Plus they wouldn't cause they got money hungry on this one.

Personally one plus about this BE grindy hell is that no more smurfs? I mean they cant get their "one trick champs" super fast now. but.... I do predict that will cause more people illegally buying accounts. Sad to say but gotta just swallow the pill on this one.

Alternatively, buff Resolve, make combinations more enticing beyond flat AP/AD/HP (ie give AP flat scaling per level naturally and then change Dominance into Penetration. Make Resolve primary give flat or % bonus resists, etc)

Right now, Resolve it just tits beyond the Keystone. Conditioning is acceptable and Unfliniching is god-like for fighter-type junglers, but beyond that it's awful.

We can address tanks with in game nerfs, but leaving a tree in such a dismal state isn't acceptable.
