Improving the ranking system

Hello, Thanks for reading first and foremost. I have a suggestion that I believe will improve the ranking system greatly. I am sure many people are well aware of the negative attitudes in bronze and silver. I have witnessed it first hand. Why do these players that perform their best and have great attitudes get subjected to this? A major reason is that whether I die 16 times or 0 times or afk I lose relatively the same amount of LP as someone who has a great game, win or lose. With the grading system out I think LP should be based on personal performance. If i had an s rating and lose the game it still showed that even with opponents having the upper hand I still made it look easy, why do I lose the same amount as the person who struggles and complains? So I can lose the same amount of points and get paired with them again? If you win with an S+ rating it shows that it was less challenging of a game than it maybe have been for your B- teammate. Why are we earning the same amount of points if it was a clear display that the opponents who are ranked the same aren't a challenge? This would also reward players with good attitudes and don't afk. The afk players will lose more LP due to a D- score. Causing a greater loss of LP should reduce the likely hood of afks and maybe people are less likely to surrender trying to improve their performance for their team, thus improving the quality of game play. Please give some feedback.

I mean, there are other things that the grading system simply can't keep track of. An ADC can get his farm, and his kills, but he can never even join a teamfight, and be the reason why his team loses while getting an S ranking all in the same game.

Riot's argument against this is that getting the "win" is all that matters in this game. It is and should be the sole priority of every player.

If they start to implement other components to your LP gain or loss, players will strive to maximize their gains in that way rather than trying to win. Which would be fundamentally flawed.

If your team needs you to engage 1v5 and die so they can stop recalls and get an ace after the enemy did a sneaky baron, you should do it. You shouldn't refuse to because it's an extra death and will cost you an extra 3LP if you lose anyways. It's the right play.

if your team needs you to split bot to attract the enemy team there so they can get baron in return, you should do that. Again, the death is worth the benefit.

The list goes on, simply put being a team player and getting wins is what's important. You can get a B and still be a big part of why your team won. You can get an S and still be the reason your team lost.

Riot's philosophy is also that these "bad players" will lose more games and drop in elo over time. Good players will climb over time. The law of large numbers says that if you play enough games, the experience of other players will balance out and you'll end up where you belong. The only problem is you probably don't play 300+ ranked games per season. Overall though, it should balance and you should get to where you belong, it just takes time.
