Karma and Heimerdinger 4.17 change doesn't apply to Zhonya

Greetings.

Looking at the (admittedly very minor) Heimerdinger and Karma update, I noticed attempting to ult doesn't work when using Zhonya. I was told that was because Zhonya wasn't a true form of CC.

That seems like a reasonable explanation. However, if I look at the patch notes, I read the following :

'A player raised the concern that Karma (and Heimerdinger) had to cast two spells when empowering abilities, thus ever-so-slightly delaying her ability to fight back in high-pressure situations. With this change, Karma will be able to preemptively use Mantra while crowd-controlled so she can immediately mash faces when she recovers.'

(and same for Heimer)

It seems to me like the line ' ever-so-slightly delaying her ability to fight back in high-pressure situations' should apply to Zhonyas as well. I know you can ult before Zhonyas, but what if it's still on cooldown ? In Karma's case in particular, being able to ult while invincible can make a huge difference. It's also highly possible for her to recover her ult during a high-pressure situation given the nature of its cooldown.

In any case, the patch notes seem to indicate that their ults should work when Zhonya is applied to them. It feels strange for it to be the only CC effect to 'punish' them for having to use two spells out of Zhonyas in some cases.

I'd be curious to hear Riot's opinion on this, in any case.
