Loyal Fan Wanting Back Old Fiora

I'm writing this in hopes of Riot to consider bringing back the old Fiora kit

Before Fiora got her gameplay update, I was a huge fan of how the old Fiora played. I loved the lightning-fast, slicing your opponents up with almost no retaliation fantasy she had. Fiora's old kit is what made me love her and want to learn her. Because of how cool her kit was, I devoted all my time trying to learn every single thing there was about her. Such as learning what skills to level up, learning when to go in, teamfights, match ups, and many other things.

While I was excited to see that Fiora got her gameplay update in August, I was pretty disappointed when she got released. While I thought the changes were going to be quality of life buffs that will help her be more viable in the meta, her gameplay changed so much that it made her into an entirely new champion. It really saddened a long time fan like me to see my favorite champion basically gone. I know it's still the same Fiora in terms of personality and design, but the new Fiora plays way too different than the old Fiora... You don't use the same strategies anymore. Match ups aren't the same anymore. Even the coolest and most unique ultimate in the game, Blade Waltz, got removed. It's not the same champion that I learned and it saddens me.

I know Fiora got changed because her old kit suffered from being too weak if she wasn't fed. If she fell behind, then there was nothing the old Fiora could do to catch up. I understand that. But as I said before, I devoted most of my time in League trying to learn how to play her, learn from mistakes, and adapt if I fell behind. I liked Fiora for what she did and how she played

While I do like the new Fiora because she brings something new to the game, something I suggest is having two kits for one champion. It won't affect the new Fiora in anyway, and will also bring back the old, unique gameplay kit she used to have. This will satisfy both fanbases who like either one of the kits. I like the new Fiora, but I can't help but miss the old days I used to play her and have so much fun.

I'm not asking for buffs. I'm only asking for my favorite champion to return to League.

Yeah this is what i also want to say, so no need making another article about it. Also i left playing League of Legends quite a while ago, since Fiora was replaced i kept looking for champion after champion to give me the same thrill i used to get after playing old FIora but none were up to the mark. Ultimately i quit the game itself, to day i was getting nostalgic about her so i thought i should write to riot and then i found this article, it saddens me so much that old fiora is gone :(

Can't tell if serious or is trying to be snarky at the people crying if their champion gets reworked or changed.

"While I thought the changes were going to be quality of life buffs that will help her be more viable in the meta...."

That's exactly what they did. Her problem as a champion was that she was too polarizing. If you didn't fly ahead you were completely useless and nothing you did would change that. If you got a lead, you were destroying the enemy team. Think of it from the designer's point of view. You have a character who's kit can't be balanced without leaning too heavily in one direction.

Consider the fact that people complain about Veigar now just because he excels at single-target nukes, which I might add, can be countered with a Banshee's Veil. Old Fiora could do that to the entire team when she was ahead.

Weaken her snowballed power so that she's still not that lethal? Now you have a champion that needs to get fed to stay relevant to the fight and can't carry. Strengthen her so that she doesn't fall behind as hard? Now the opponent's team has a responsibility to keeping her locked down throughout the entire match because you can't let her gain any form of a lead. It'd be like Tryndamere on steroids.

The most reasonable decision is to change the parts of her that don't work so that she can be balanced. This way Fiora players, like you, have a champion they can go to that works well, but isn't perma-banned.

The old Fiora was so 1 dmensional it's sad, ether you go full on and get fed or you feed and become useless. And the match ups? Old Fiora could only fight certain champs, now she can literally lane against the entire meta. She went from assassin to actual Duelist. and please don't complain about Blade Waltz, not only was it useless most of the time because of bugs but was one of the only ults with no counter play what so ever, and that's just not fun for anyone.

Best 10 minutes of your life?

Seriously tho based on the new Fiora... I wouldn't mind the old one as much.

I have to admit, I like all of the new kit except for the ult. If she had her old ult back, I think she'd be perfect. I love the changes to her Q and W, E is hit or miss with me, but acceptable, but R is just meh. They can make the old R work just fine, and I think that added to her swordplay fantasy a lot more than Grand Duel.
