I have my account and havent played LoL in a while. at least for this season. and was wondering what the effects of playing ranked are. my account is unranked for this current season. WtF happens?? i cannot find information! much appreciated !

well i have an unranked account. and what happens to it when i play ranked. do i move up or down. do i effect my placement matches? how does it work?
If you are unranked, you will get placed in a rank, you can climb to Challenger if you want...But when season starts I believe everyone is reset again, except your MMR is what is used to place you the 2nd time. Basically pre-season is all about building up your MMR for season placements
Higher your MMR, higher your initial placement
