Smurfing is destroying this game

i really love this game because it is a lot of fun to me but now i meet a lot of smurfs in rank games and its really bothering me. i m currently silver trying to get to gold. i m not a pro player or sth but i do take rank games serious cuz ppl spend a lot of time in it. smurfing really destroys the game balance and the point of "rank".
transpacy (plat smurf) faymoose(diamond smurf) i always report players like them but i doubt if its gonna help it. I hope a riot can figure out a solution to this problem.summoner 4

A lot of things are destroying this game. Unfortunately, we can always count on only one thing:

Smurfing isn't a ban able offence which makes your reports false unless they were toxic than that's another story. Smurfing actually helps because you learn more playing against better players than worse players just saying.

I'd argue that might be true, but only up to a point. When you are instantly dying without any idea why you died, and with no explanation given, you're not learning. Normal matchmaking will, inevitably, pit you against players that are on-par with you in some areas and better than you in others, but not so much better that you can't grasp why they're winning.

When I was playing with a bunch of my master friends when I was leveling I learned a lot like I mean a lot since I was constantly being paired against diamond/plat bot lanes and honestly my friend gave me helpful tips on stuff like thresh and other supports.

Here's the thing, you were constantly choosing to pair up with high level players and being pitted against them. They were giving you tips and actually helping you learn.

That's not the experience people have playing with smurfs. Smurfs typically don't teach you things so much as they laugh at how bad you are compared to them. The smurf is one person in a game that's there only for the match and then gone, with you not seeing another smurf until matchmaking throws you one.

I agree that high level friends are an excellent way to get better at the game, I just don't think observing smurfs crush you is anywhere near as useful.

great you got someone to give you tips, something that CANNOT happen when you get paired with random diamond+ players when your skill is nowhere near them. All that will happen is you dying constantly and being frustrated because for some reason whoever you are playing against is just destroying you and there's nothing you can do. There is a point in which you stop learning and just get frustrated specially since you have no idea what you are doing wrong and what they are doing better other than them just easily destroying you no matter what you do

So if you lose a game in bronze or silver because you were expected to play against a diamond-level opponent, tell me why it's fair that you should remain in bronze or silver?
