So I am a bronze 1 player and for a while now any normal games I've been playing I've been consistently placed into game with and against diamond and platinum players. This is making the game super frustrating for me as I would prefer to play against/with people who are my own skill level. How can I fix this?
Best Valor NA1 votesAre you playing with high ranked friends? if so, thats the problem.
Otherwise, your normal MMR is very high, and their normal MMR is very low. This means youve been winning alot of normal games, and theyve been losing a ton.
No real good way to fix it.
Randomonium1 votesIt can suck at first but it will only help you improve as a player. I used to hate playing against plats/diamonds but getting my ass kicked over and over has made me a better player and now I can hold my own against them (and even beat them from time to time.) Now I get really excited when I'm matched against a good player because it's a chance to challenge myself.

Example:
I am ranked diamond/master/challenger. I started in s2. I played some normal games in s2 (50-100-200) In s2 i was bad and my mmr for NORMAL games is close to silver3-bronze3. NORMAL mmr and RANKED mmr ARE NOT linked. So even if I am challenger in RANKED games, I can play with bronze-silver if I play a NORMAL game.
