Nerf Mordekaiser!

I don't know who the genius was behind the idea of allowing Morde cloning a drag, but this just levies an immense unfairness upon players who are playing against him. i just lost a game laning against one Morde and the total game experience was the most terrible I've ever experienced so far. I killed him 3 times while laning yet he could still blow my hp to half by several fireballs from his cloned dragon. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY to stop a Morde now! I don't know what the balance team is doing but from my observation they certainly failed to perform their job satisfactorily. Here I will enclose a snapshot of the damage summary where you can see a single Q of Morde cause 2500 dmg on me with just a Trinity Force, Hextech Gunblade, and a Crystal Sceptor. Are you kidding me?

What's your point you are trying to make?

Whats your point? That a champion's only real damaging ability shouldn't be able to kill you?

It's less damage overall than Draven's q, as Draven has much higher AS. AS per level, and an AS sterioid on his w. Draven can get off 5 axes slightly faster than Morde can get off three q, and has 350 more range.

Stating that a melee champion with no gap closers or CC can kill you over 7 auto attacks in 15 seconds while he is building all damage items isn't saying much.

Meal has a point, Mordekaiser has built in weaknesses so he has to have something to compensate for being the only champion without any sort of cc or mobility outside of his W (which is teammate reliant to function as mobility in any case even in the best scenarios) in the same. Cc and mobility are there to help you get kills or avoid getting killed, Mordekaiser by himself lacks anything consistent in his kit beyond damage, shield, and two conditional heals.

As has been said, without building items like Rylai's Crystal Scepter or Hextech Gunblade, people could just walk away from Mordekaiser if they don't want to fight him, and the nerf to his base movement speed only creates a greater necessity to put more effort into covering his weaknesses.

Mordekaiser had Mercury Treads and Trinity Force for movement speed, and most likely there wasn't enough CC going around to truly pin him down. Also, I know Corki can travel over land very well with his Valkyrie, and Mordekaiser can catch up with aforementioned W if he has another champion chasing you down and there isn't more cc keeping Corki or Mordekaiser from chasing.

Yes, Mordekaiser can melt you if you end up in a situation where he can catch you, but Mordekaiser's kit is to punish people for making stupid mistakes and emphasize the need to kite him. Either you made a mistake of some sort, or you chose a rather immobile champion or wasted your cc in some way so that you couldn't keep him at bay.

...and the Corki you were fighting was AP, and had Rylai's Crystal Scepter as well, I honestly doubt between Corki's Valkyrie, Mordekaiser's Harvester of Sorrow, and both of them having Rylai's, that you could have escaped without some serious cc and mobility.

As a Morde player, I can tell how desperate you are to defend your precious little girl. It's such a waste of time to rationally argue with you.

Look, I honestly agree with you that Mordekaiser's Q does outrageous damage, as a Mordekaiser player I agree with you and it can feel unfair to deal with that.

Here, in this situation I feel you got peeled and there was nothing you could do, which happens, I can't blame you for dying when you're facing two AP's with Rylai's Crystal Scepter. Shit happens, we all have those moments where things are just absolute bullshit, it's no problem man.

As it is, Mordekaiser's state is completely on the fence, it is feast or famine which is not how a champion should work, he should remain consistent but shine or fall at certain stages in the game, he shouldn't have to steamroll to work.

He needs to have more consistent melee damage sources in his overall kit - not just his Q - so that he could get nerfs to his Q, but the problem is that it's hard to give without taking something in return, and without trying to hack off a proverbial limb, what could we do that wouldn't make his W or E perhaps too powerful?
