8-2 Placements = Bronze 2.....???

Went 8-2 in my Placements and ended up in Bronze 2 Alt account went 5/5 ended up in Bronze 1......WTF is this so 10/0 would be what Bronze 1 or some shit? Anyone else get this kind os BS in placements???

Number of games you win has nothing to do with your ranking.

Number of games you win has an effect when you're a fresh, brand new account. But not after you've played ranked for a while.

With the ranked changes, it seems that your ranking for this season is based on the ranking from last season. This also happened to a friend of mine (he went 8-2 and got Bronze)

started out S4 went 8-2 and now bronze 2? makes 0 sense to me

Just keep in mind that, unless you are silver and/or had an insanely high MMR before the reset, you will be placed a WHOLE tier below. Diamond one can get you all the way down to PlatV or even Gold one even with a score of 8/2, 7/3, even 10/10... To place in the tier below you and not a whole tier down, you need to have insanely high mmr before the reset so that after the soft reset it doesn't drop to low.
