Addressing Trolls in Ranked Gameplay

Grieving in one form or the other is a seemingly growing problem in ranked game play and ruins the game experience for the team. The options for avoiding such person in a game are less than adequate as you can dodge and get penalized or hope someone else dodges in which you sit and pray that you are not placed on a team with that person again. While I understand that there is no perfect solution to counter this, I think that a partial solution is better than no solution at all.

Why can't we have some sort of system in place where:

  1. Each user can flag a player as a "troll" This does nothing other than show you when you enter matchmaking that you have previously flagged this person from a previous game for some sort of grieving .
  2. If a large number of people have flagged this user in a short duration of time OR the majority of your teammates have flagged this person, display an option to kick the user whereby the remaining players would have to unanimously vote to kick the player before actually kicking the player and return to queue.

With that being said, there are plenty of holes in this logic but I believe that if we collaborate as a community we can possibly come up with a practical solution and maybe...just maybe have our voices heard.

What do you think?

Rito loves the trolls, they themselves are the ultimate trolls by building a system that caters to them. So......sadly they wont ever do anything.

I don't understand why everyone makes such a big deal about this. Dodging is only 3 lp and 5 minutes of your time which is practically nothing since it does not effect MMR at all which the only thing that matters.
