OP didn't respond to that question either so your argument that any derailing response is fair game, is faulty at its core.
Also, do you know how to respond to a question properly?
The title of this thread is just one piece of the puzzle, where OP further elaborates what his predicament is, in the body of the thread. This kind of a response only demonstrates that the person in question didn't even bother to read the rest of it. Which again, the reply from the person i responded to basically said that you shouldn't give Riot any money and that you should pretend like you own skins by going on PBE and playing a game or two to satisfy your desire for cosmetic content...
If i already decided to spend my money on skins or whatever and i'm asking a question whether, in my current predicament, is it worth it because of a time limited period, that kind of a response doesn't give an answer to my question. I didn't ask for your opinion on what you think of Riot nor what kind of a boycott you're on, that's your thing. And this isn't a thread to be discussing it in either. Just because this is a public board, doesn't give you the right to derail a thread or make it about yourself.
You don't see me replying to every thread on the boards for this very reason. In most cases, i do have an opinion on something but that doesn't mean i want to share it. And if i don't have an opinion, there's no reason for me to participate in a discussion just because i can. BECAUSE THIS IS A PUBLIC BOARD, you can make your own thread and discuss your opinion with others that share it or have counterpoints.
I'm not here trying to change your mind on your stance of not giving Riot your money so don't be that douche to try and change mine, if i didn't ask for your specific reasons.
#TL;DR
Answer the question of a particular thread or at least have a meaningful way of contributing to it, that pertains to the question that was asked. If you don't meet these two criteria, you have no business in being here nor talking about your opinions, if no one has asked for such an input.
If you want to talk about what you think is important, make your own thread and seek input from people who can equally contribute to your discussion.Don't hijack someone else's.
