What has happened to ARAM?
The games are so quick anymore that you hardly have time to really "get in" to it or get a full build, or develop strategies with your team. Turrets are absolutely worthless past level 5 or 6. Your team can dominate for 10 minutes, but one lost team fight then means you lose your 2nd turret, inhibitor, and one (if not both) nexus turrets. Any champ that is slightly tanky can just walk past turrets while getting continuously blasted, make a sandwich, eat that sandwich, put everything back in the fridge, then mosey back out of turret range safely. It's basically become just one big brawl in fast forward. One other strange thing that I have noticed, possibly just a coincidence, is the "random" aspect of champ selection doesn't seem to be very random anymore. What I've been seeing are teams with 4 champs that have a very similar mechanic or play style like
who all have abilities that prevent them from dying. Or four champs with self heals, or shields, etc. This may just be total coincidence, but it seems to happen almost every other game.
I don't know what Riot intends to achieve by having games move this quickly, but I personally find it much less fun. I don't play SR at all, but is the same thing happening there?
