and everyone ignores you to pick a glass cannon in every lane, and then says "pick a tank support"

its like people don't realize that having only the support play a tanky champ is a horrible idea. why would you want the guy who gets the least gold on the team, thus having the least items to be your only tank?

these same people are the first to rage when the game starts snowballing out of control too. so sick of facing the decision of playing a tank support im bad at and losing, or playing my utility supports and losing because we have no tank to frontline.

This is your main problem. Learn tanks. Tank supports can easier snowball the game and win botlane. Not mentioning Alistar is much more reliant on level than items. And even without tank, but with proper draft you can win playing utility. Eg Taric goes well with fighter comps or against hard diving comp. Karma is a good way to go if you don't have a tank, as she can provide kiting and mass shields almost 24/7.

Learn more about champions and comps before complaining.

Potential to kill is better than tanks.

maybe i worded it wrong. im bad at being the only tank on the team in the support role. its trash and the level/gold defecit makes for a trash tank

Here's the thing- your the one who was adamant about having the tank on your team, so it's up to you to pick it. If your top laner is a jayce one trick and your jungler is a kha one trick, having them pick tanks is a terrible idea. So if you want tanks on your team every game, learn how to play them yourself. Leo, Ali, and taric are good starts.

Playing a tank sup in low elo is a trap. When youre only job is peeling and engaging and you cant rely on teammates to follow an engage properly or deal damage WHILE you peel, it tends to tilt the ever living hell out of me.

Preach, good sir. As a mostly support main I know that struggle. It's like some people don't realize what a team comp is and leaves me to be the only fucking tank, when I'm better at my mages and utility supports.
