When will red buff's description be updated?

Patch 4.20 notes | League of Legends

Hi, I'm RomaRoma. I normally post in the EUW forums, but this is an important issue and needs Riot attention, so it is obvious to put it in NA forums because more red activity, but I digress.

In patch 4.20 red buff got significant changes. The damage was weakened early game but increased late game, the slow was reduced but there became a new passive. It grants health regen. "Crest of Cinders now heals its buffed target by +1% of their maximum health per 5 seconds." But when you hover over red buff if you have it, it still uses the same, boring description showing how it slows and deals damage over time but NOT the bonus health regen. I personally tested it in game by looking at my stats (pressing C) before and after red buff and it showed a significant improvement, so it is quite obviously in the game.

I feel it needs to be updated due to lack of knowledge. People might realise that even as a champion like Vladimir who is a caster with a lot less auto attacks than Yasuo for example, that the red buff he got from killing the enemy jungler is a lot more useful than he thinks. Of course, a lot of people who played before 4.20 will know that it gives bonus HP regen, but for any new players who don't look at it on the wiki page, they have no way of knowing it.

Thanks for reading this, I hope the in-game description of the Crest of Cinders gets changed soon to more accurately reflect itself.

Note: I wasn't really sure which topic to put this in. I decided gameplay and balance because in the end it effects the gameplay and balance of new players to the game. It won't affect me, but it could really matter to a level 7.

Well the change only happened in december, so at least it isn't something you missed for long, lol.

I didn't know about the health regen either... upvoted for awareness.

I didn't even remember it did that, that's how little I jungle. I always joke 'aww yeah nami got den red buffs' when I'm support and get a kill on someone with red. I didn't realize it might have been useful to me for HP regen.

Yes! Thanks for posting. Let's get this seen!

It's rather frustrating when you find out this info from random people in random threads. Here's another undocumented change from 4.20. They buffed doran shield so it reduced spell damage by 8 as well.

I am almost certain both of those changes were documented, they are just both the kind of thing that slips the mind.

The red buff change was definitely documented, I already thought I only imagined it though since the tooltip didn't match. Good to know I didn't.

To be fair that one was well documented. So was red buff, but it wasn't documented in game.

To be fair, it's not in the patch notes. If it was 'well documented' throw a link this way.

Have an upvote. I had forgotten about the HP regen on red. Kinda an important aspect of it given how troublesome early jungle clears can be for some junglers. (This really explains why I feel like I am have an easier time clearing if I try for a gank after red.)

For great clarity!

Excellent find my niggah. This should certainly be changed. For some reason it won't upvote you, but this is a great post.

Need more upvotes. I completly missed that patch during my end term exams. Was wondering why people was escaping me so easily with red buff...

Ya I had to wiki the buff to be sure I wasn't crazy thinking there was hp regen. IT's an important note and alters your jungling a bit, first clear specifically.

I remember reading that in the new map preview but I thought it was scrapped!
