Yuumi is obscenely unfun to play against

Surely I cant be the only one who thinks that playing against Yuumi is infuriating. Her kit is so basic that you essentially cant mess it up, she does surprisingly high damage and trades disgustingly well with her shield, heal, and base health regen. I don't think she is particularly amazing, yet I cant help but hate the game and everyone i'm playing against whenever I don't spend a ban on her and am forced to either eat a near unmissable skillshot for all of laning phase or walk into the ADC to try trading against the shield that is, of course, still up. I just want to close the client and stop playing league for at least the rest of the day almost every time I queue into one.

Boi this champion. Can't trade with her because she'll get a shield and avoid follow up with her W. Even if she takes damage she's untargetable in someone. A Q that does massive damage, is homing, lasts long and is easy to hit/hard to dodge (only option is to camp at minion wave but she can curl it around smh). Permanent shield on someone with healing (% missing hp too) and speed boost. Oh ye dont forget about her ult, which isn't too bad but there's 7 waves each covering half the width of the lane.

Q is not a homing ability those are called point and clicks

You outdmg her shield which has a long CD. she has less health and defenses then you do you kill her AD she is basically dead too

Let's not forget that she starts with a point in W, meaning that she effectively starts at lvl 2, getting 3 abilities once she actually levels up.

the point is that she gets an extra point at lvl 1 and 2. Level 2 is super important botlane, because if you get lvl 2 before your opponent you can make a play. can't do that vs yuumi because she gets the 2nd ability earlier. Later in the game it doesn't matter as much.

The good:

people hate tahm kench right, so what about a support who devours themselves? they get to block skillshots for their adc without dying instantly, skill expression!

the bad: this removes 90% of the skill expression of actually controlling your character.

the ugly:

a nearly immobilizing slow that is invisible if you're attached to somebody camo/stealthed. Okay. This is like when you couldn't cleanse Zoe's E if it hit you. How does something like this get through balance testing?

Its 5 Adaptive Force.

Adaptive force is 60% effectiveness for AD.

So it should be giving 3 AD / 5 AP

Shes a broken, poorly designed champ. She's not OP or UP or needs tweaking or anything like that. The whole design is just fundamentally stupid. A zero interaction, untargetable, roving buff attached to whatever hypercarry happened to get fed...

Winning or losing against her has nothing to do with how well you played or she played, its just a matter if somewhere someone got fed or not. You can be destroying bot lane but if a Riven gets a few kills top and now you have an unstoppable Riven 5v2ing the entire team. She's everything wrong with league wrapped up in a single champ.

Unless the adc is duo Queue'd with Yuumi, she misses about 70% of her Q's simply because her adc won't work with her.
The slow SCALES from 40-80% slow for up to 1.75 seconds..... from so far away that usually it doesn't affect the outcome of anything....

Her passive is anything but basic; post early game, it's a death sentence in most cases to use it, because she can be killed instantly at auto attack range.

They made it so her attachment can be disrupted by ANY hard CC. If you can't kill her now, you have problems.
They nerfed her W scaling again, putting her back to where she was at 35%.
Her heal is a joke 90% of the time, and is also her only mobility, other than attachment. She has to choose between healing and dying....
JUST KILL HER RIDE. It's honestly not hard to kill a champ who can get focused.....

See it all depends on which you'd rather have, a champion with a hyper complex kit that it a problem for months because the pros are nut jobs, or a champion that's so simple that when someone does play them right they are infuriating to fight. Eg, Garen.

yes omfg i have never been so tilted over 1champ before i hate everything she does. she can heal and while she heals gives extra movement speed, shields her ally with passive, can give extra damage, get's untargetable for a century and a cc ult. u can't fucking kill her first like soraka cuz she'll just sit in her ally poking u with that extremely annoying Q she has. u poke her? too bad she dodged it. u poke the adc? too bad she healed it. she's finally out of mana?! nope she comes out pokes u once and dissapears again with extra mana and a shield for her carry ... seriously who made this champion i don't care if we atleast win the game it's just NO FUN to play against that monster.

I feel pretty cheated as a support player. The last couple of support releases have had their kit or theme based around some stupid gimmick instead of the badass overloaded kits they keep releasing for other roles.

Like how can you release crazy intricate champions over and over again like Irelia, Akali, Yasuo, etc. and then turn around and hand over some overly-simplistic mechanics like Yuumi over to support players? It's like Riot doesn't think an Enchanter with an overloaded kit should exist.

The thing is that when I go against Yuumi I think there are some clear weaknesses besides being insanely squishy that you can take advantage of. I think its more annoying based on who she is paired with though. For example Caitlyn is without a doubt my most hated ADC right now, and when a Yuumi is paired with her it is the worst thing I've ever dealt with...but if Yuumi was with a twitch she isn't as useful.

Better Yuumi's will try to utilize her passive a lot more and in teamfights the moment she pops out or right after a Q I just try to capitalize on that as much as possible.

People say she is super easy but Idk if I am just an outlier here when I say that she is very unforgiving if your team has no positioning skills. It's hard to balance her around if she is good or not with a good or bad team so I guess that is different than her power level of abilities. She is basically a Sona without having to worry about her abysmal health pool.

The real issue of Yuumi is that she is either useless because she cant get a lead because her adc is a moron (which is unsurprisingly often) or has a good adc that doesnt run into the wrong direction of Yuumi's poke, she can actually poke the foe. And then we get into ''doher teammates and/or team comp support/enable Yuumi's kit? If yes she is strong if no she is a superminion at best''

This surprises you? Quite a few of the new champions and reworks have resulted in champions that are decidedly unfun - for reasons that are beyond me, Riot has decided to focus on making champions that are either fun to play or fun to look at - but they have largely forgotten the other side of the equation - they need to be fun to play WITH or play AGAINST. And this is especially serious given how snowballing and the stupid bounty system are currently in the game.

She's extremely easy to counter. At least for me... I find that "engage champs" like pyke, leona, alistar make exchanges with her very easy. Just played a game as janna and yuumi completely obliterated us because we were no real threat to her, she could poke for days. So i understand where people are coming from now.

Solution: Get a heavy engage support and hunt the adc down. Pyke works extremely well against her, he's my main which is why i never understood what people meant by "'shes annoying ". Especially once you hit lvl 6 its insta won lane unless you have an adc who doesn't follow with your engages.

Yuumi's abilities can slow, buff, heal, shield... She has a mobile AOE ultimate that covers a very large area. But most importantly - her W glues her to the one she's supporting and makes her untargetable. Which, basically... makes Yuumi the easiest - most dumbed down champion in league of legends. You can go premade with your 5 year old sibling or your grandpa if they play Yuumi - and just tell them when to press Q, E and R... Even if they never played LoL before - if they follow your directions (just pressing one of those 3 buttons when you say so) - they should be able to handle rank games at your level - and do as good as any other support.

Even more than that.... if you're capable of multitasking - Yuumi's the most viable champion to be played as a duo "by same user (a user playing on 2 accounts/computers - at the same time)". Since you don't have control her movements (being glued to the other champs) - only 3 of her abilities (mainly 2 - cause the 3rd is her Ultimate).

Based on her abilities - i'd take it Yuumi was made intentionally like that. To be played in a duo by people who don't play league of legends - and be just as good as the ones they're premade with. More exactly... Yuumi was probbaly made for girlfriends (the ones who don't know how to play LoL - and not whiling to try it with any other champ). It's the only champ that can be easily played - while doing other stuff at the same time (browsing social media, taking selfies or whatever). Since you only need one hand and 2 fingers.

This would also explain why this champion is a Cat! 😸

I think Riot needs to revise their approach to Enchanter champions. In general, they don't seem to put much effort into their designs; not since Nami. They're just boring simple kits designed to be annoying.

Yuumi in particular is disappointing because the selling point of her design is being untargetable and having gimmicky skill shot, which is sad.

I'm not even annoyed by the numbers, but her kit. The fact that she can do all this shit while being virtually untouchable and sitting on item 3041 is what breaks her kit. Moving toward and sitting on an ally should be a toggle ability that drains mana and has like a 3-5 second cooldown in between jumps so that she actually has to face some sort of risk/INTERACTION with others.
