My thoughts about how to fix the state of the game, feel free to chime in.

Intro: So as we all know the state of the game is currently in chaos. Nothing feels right, and every "troll pick" is actually viable at this point. Here are some of my thoughts and others if they would like to add, on how the game could be fix.


General State:

  1. ADCs: They are in a really bad spot at this point in the game
  2. Tanks: Not too much of a surprise, but they are extremely strong right now
  3. Mages (Burst and control): Really iffy about most, some are way too strong.
  4. Assassins: Extremely weak right now because there are no ADCs in the game.
  5. Supports: Surprisingly, in a perfect spot.

General Changes: This is for a mass change with no champion specifics.

  • ADCs: Don't touch them. Instead of buffing them, leave them how they are as is.
  • Tanks: Keep their HP, Base and Scaling armor/mr the same. Instead, increase their cooldowns on abilities by 2-5 seconds. Lower their duration of CC by 5-10% and decrease their damage output by 10%.
  • Fighters: Lower their scaling HP by 3-5%.
  • Burst Mages: Lower their damage output by 5%. Lower their scaling mana regen by 0.05-0.2 5/s.
  • Control Mages: Lower their scaling mana regen by 0.05-0.2 5/s.
  • Assassins: Leave as is.
  • Supports: Leave as is.
  • Turrets: Decrease damage taken by 10% from champions, decrease damage take by minions by 2.5%.

Champions that need major addressing: (No specific order)

  • Chogath - Maybe bring back loss stacks on death? Maybe 1/2 current stacks on minions, keeping champion stacks permanent?
  • Mundo - This is really hard to say until more changes are made in the game.
  • Vlad - His early game is too strong. His late game does not fall off. Maybe lower his overall healing by 5-10%?
  • Kennen - Even after all the general changes, he would need a damage output buff by 5%.
  • Master Yi - Lower the damage reduction on his W, but increase the heal.
  • Azir - Revert the change (long time ago) on distance for abilities to sand soldiers (If that makes sense).
  • Singed - Lower movement speed bonus passive for early game.
  • Kalista - Allow her to change her binded champion once when she hits level 9. Increase her base attack damage by 5. Increase passive distance by 150, keep ult throw distance the same.
  • Kindred - Decrease their Q CD time to 7 seconds, W's effect unchanged for Q's CD time. Bring back their heal on hit effect. Increase their base movement speed by 5.
  • Karma - Honestly, she just needs a (another) rework ASAP. There is no fixing her in the state she's in.

Side note: I believe Conqueror should be changed from 20% to 12%.

My dude I appreciate the effort but you should read up some more about the current state of the game.

  1. Look at just about any site with a teir list and you’ll see that right now Fighters are the most Meta and in S tier to B teir, and the best actual tank right now is either Ornn or Malphite depending on where you look and they’re both C tier, so tanks Aren’t strong. (It’s important to note I don’t include Mundo as a tank because his high damage and lack of effective AOE and CC put him into the Juggernaut category even though he builds full tank)

  2. Assassins are actually strong right now. With all of the shield nerfs over time and the fact that mid lane is less push heavy assassins are the strongest I’ve seen them. (been playing since season 5) With the ADC item changes they got item 3095 and can more viably build item 3035 items since it ignores total armor rather than bonus Armor. Zed alone has been S teir for like the last 4 patches. And depending on what site you go to Leblanc is “OP”. And even though there are no ADC’s there’s still a squishy mid laner to kill. And squishy junglers since tank jungle sucks right now

  3. ADC’s are in a bad spot, and SOME of them need SMALL buffs. While I like how bot lane is right now as a support main, I admit most ADC’s are just too useless in the mid game. Early game and late game power is fine, but I feel like doing well early game no longer matters because mid game is still bad. So don’t buff laning, keep it weak.

  4. You where right about supports (including Karma). Overall better balanced, some need buffs, and others nerfs but overall the position is good.

  5. Honestly I don’t know what’s the deal with mages, their strength is kinda scattered. Like the conscensous is Zoe is the only top tier mage while everyone else is mid-low tier.

  6. Vladimir is too strong, but he’s not supposed to fall off late game either, cutting his healings not a bad idea but it’d be better to cut his early armor to make all inning him early game a lot easier. That way you don’t kill the one thing he’s got going for him in laning phase, since as annoying as his laning is, his all in is pretty weak

  7. That Chogath idea is unessisarry, not only is he not strong right now, but that would only make him less fun to play and not change his balance in the end.

  8. I actually like your MasterYi changes

  9. Azir : no. If they revert Azir they’d have to revert his damage back to being stupid low unless you buy a truckload of AP. The reason they lowered his range was to allow him more damage in exchange for more risk. (They even asked Azir mains on the boards which they would rather have and they chose short range but reliable damage)

  10. Kalista can buy another black spear from the shop for free to change her chosen target at any time already. Passive hop distance scales up with movement speed already.

  11. I like these changes, and they’ve already brought back the healing on PBE

  12. Maybe first just remove Conquerers AD. Right now it’s an effective tank busting tune but does to much to squishy champs too, rather than lower the true damage I put forward the suggestion of removing the bonus AD you gain from it.

  13. Riot’s also already planning a mini revert of Karma
